LeToya Hires Alicia Keys Management
Hiphop Prophet says:
Singer/actress LeToya has reportedly switched her management to MBK management with Jeff Robinson, who is the long time manager of R&B superstar Alicia Keys.
The singer actually inked the deal a few weeks before her sophomore album "Lady Love" dropped, but the news has only been made official now after LeToya suddenly appeared on MBK's official website with a glowing biography and ads for her album.
The news comes after LeToya expressed her disappointment with the lack of promotion she's received from label Capitol during a live Ustream chat on August 24th, the eve of her album release.
"When ain't nobody else lookin' out for you, you've got to look out for yourself and promote yourself," she said. "I don't feel that my album was promoted the way it shoulda been promoted, but I'm not mad at it. God gave me a chance to do a second album, it'll be on shelves regardless, and the music will speak for itself.
"Hopefully it'll be a situation where it's word of mouth" she continued. "No I didn't get the publicity that other people have gotten, but I got enough because ya'll are on Ustream saying what's up and commenting on the record, and that's what I live for, that's why I sing, for real fans that always have my back when things are looking a little shady or crazy, so thank ya'll for that".
It was also rumoured that LeToya was unhappy with her first single "Not Anymore", which was released upon insistence her original manager Terry Ross.
Her sophomore album "Lady Love" is expected to debut at about #5 on the Billboard charts, with an estimated 25-30k
Michelle Williams: New Album News
"Michelle also revealed that she is about to start recording a new album and this one is going to be big – literally. Michelle said: “I want to do a double album. They’re going to be of two completely different genres and I want to release them on the same day.” And it seems the singer also wouldn’t mind following When Love Takes Over singer Kelly Rowland down the dance music route. She impressed party-goers on the night by making a guest appearance during the Calvin Harris set. The petite star went down a storm on stage as she teamed up with the music producer and DJ to belt out his latest hit Ready For The Weekend. So could a duet be on the cards? "
Michelle you need to get rid of Mathew first before you even think about doing another album. Go with Kelly's management. Oh that would be sooooo funny!
Beyonce getting sued...AGAIN!
Those robogloves and futuristic superhero outfits don't pay for themselves, you know.
March, who placed fourth on both the All-Star special last week and during the fourth season of the reality hit, filed the suit on July 23, seeking upwards of $45,000 for wardrobe services rendered.
"Chris March's lawsuit is not against Beyoncé, but rather against Thierry Mugler and Tancrede Prinz, who owe Chris money for having designed and fitted Beyoncé's costumes," March's lawyer, Leslie Ben-Zvi, told E! News.
Sounds like a job for the fashion police. Or the New York State Supreme Court.
March, who filed suit on behalf of both himself and Carelli Costumes Inc., claims in court documents that he was hired as "head of costumes" for Beyoncé's tour by Mugler back in February of this year. His job was "to create, pattern, fit and deliver finished costumes" for her tour.
For several months after, while Beyoncé was donning his very duds around the world, March sent a series of invoices to Mugler, most of which remained unpaid.
And while the Runway alum is looking to recoup the funds that are rightfully his, the designer (looking out for his clients as well as career, no doubt) says he bears no ill will toward his muse.
"Chris continues to be a big fan and admirer of Beyoncé," Zvi said. "And Beyoncé is a big fan of Chris' as well. She continues to look beautiful in anything she wears, especially Chris' costumes."

Beyonce moving to Singapore
Beyonce Knowles is set to rent a £5 million Singapore apartment.
The 'Crazy in Love' singer will be headlining the city's F1 Rocks concert next month and she and rapper husband Jay-Z want somewhere luxurious to stay.
The couple have been looking at plush penthouses in the city's Marina Bay area, and one pad which has impressed them has an incredible 360-degree view of the city and the sea.
A source said: "Beyonce and Jay-Z love Singapore and don't want to just stay at a hotel while they are their. Some of the apartments they've seen have been fantastic but their favourite is the one of the stunning views."
Beyonce will be joined at F1 Rocks by Black Eyed Peas and N.E.R.D.
The event - which will also feature performances from ZZ Top, Simple Minds, Chinese singer Jacky Cheung, Taiwanese hip-hop band Da Mouth and Taiwanese pop band Sodagreen - is to be the first of eight F1 Rocks concerts planned by Formula One boss Bernie Ecclestone to tie in with races across the season.
The event takes place on the days of September 24-26 at Fort Canning Park, in Singapore.
The Singapore Grand Prix is held on September 27.
LeToya Estimates
Based on first day sales LeToya's sophomore album "Lady Love" is predicted to sell roughly between 25-30k in it's first week, and should debut at about #5 or #6 on the Billboard 200.

Woman of the Year: Beyonce
Billboard announced today (Aug. 25) that Beyoncé will be accepting its Woman Of The Year Award at the 2009 Billboard Women In Music Event, taking place on Oct. 2 in New York City. The honor, given to a female recording artist that has inspired the music business with her success, leadership and new ideas, will be awarded to the singer for her accomplishments over the past 12 months. In the last year, Beyoncé kicked off her world tour "I Am..." in support of her third solo album "I Am...Sasha Fierce," which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart in November and features the hit singles "If I Were A Boy," "Single Ladies," "Halo," "Ego" and "Sweet Dreams." The tour also showcased Beyoncé's philanthropic side as she gave 2,500 tickets to families affected by the auto industry crisis in Detroit and joined forces with General Mills Hamburger Helper and Feeding America to deliver 3.5 million meals to local food banks. "Beyoncé is multi-platinum artist and a multi-talented woman who clearly embodies the qualities of excellence and achievement that the Billboard Woman Of The Year Award was created to honor," said Bill Werde, Billboard's Editorial Director, about Beyoncé, who is the only performer in the 51-year history of the Billboard Hot 100 to top the chart for 10 weeks or more with a group and as a solo artist. "She has not only influenced pop culture with her hit songs and signature dance moves, but has inspired women everywhere with her unique style, business savvy and dedication to charitable causes." The Billboard Women in Music Event celebrates the most powerful and talented women in the music business and is also held in conjunction with the Women In Music Power Players List issue, which recognizes the top female music executives who are leading the industry with their artistic and business vision. http://www.billboard.biz/bbbiz/content_display/industry/e3i793637a126d62172af96369da172bba0

Beyonce on Jay-Z Book
Last week it emerged the Roc-A-Fella entrepreneur was penning his own book titled 'Decoded', which would explore some of his lyrics. Some reports also suggested that the publication would be a tell-all autobiography, discussing everything about his personal life to his homelife with Knowles.
But Bey has laughed off any chance of her husband getting graphic. Talking to Extra, Beyonce says: "I think he's doing a book - it actually is not a biography. It [the marriage story] is never gonna happen."
