I Am a Deeply Superficial Person. -A.Warhol

Yesterday I had the pleasure to go see the exquisite Marilyn Monroe exhibit at the Andy Warhol Museum. I happen to love Andy and love to go to his museum ofter. But there are others that happen to dislike Andy's work and have no desire to drift into the imaginative world that is Andy Warhol's. This trip, I went with my father and is was absolutely exquisite. My father going mainly for the Marilyn exhibit, but did actually find other works that he did enjoy in the museum. This blog will take you, as best as I could, inside the exhibit and throughout the museum. The photos are poorly taken since no photography is allowed, I snuck a bunch with my iPhone since I am not one to follow the rules. Enjoy!

Death means a lot of money, honey. Death can really make you look like a star.-A.Warhol

If I'd observed all the rules, I would have never gotten anywhere.-M.Monroe

Isn't life a series of images that change as they repeat themselves?-A.Warhol

Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday Mr President
Happy birthday to you
Thanks, Mr President
For all the things you've done
The battles that you've won
The way you deal with U.S. Steel
And our problems by the ton
We thank you so much
Everybody, happy birthday -M.Monroe, 1962

Sex is part of nature. I go along with nature.-M.Monroe

What do I wear to bed? Why, Chanel No. 5 of course.-M.Monroe

There was my name up in lights. I said, 'God, somebody's made a mistake.' But there it was, in lights. And I sat there and said, 'Remember, you're not a star.' Yet there it was up in lights.-M.Monroe

In the future everyone will be famous for fifteen minutes. I'm bored with that line. I never use it anymore. My new line is, "In fifteen minutes everybody will be famous.-A.Warhol

What I was actually trying to do in my early movies was show how people can meet other people and what they can do and what they can say to each other.-A.Warhol

Hollywood is a place where they'll pay you a thousand dollars for a kiss and fifty cents for your soul.-M.Monroe

If I'm a star, then the people made me a star.M.Monroe

Sometimes people let the same problem make them miserable for years when they could just say, "So what." That's one of my favorite things to say. "So what."-A.Warhol

I love Los Angeles. I love Hollywood. They're beautiful. Everybody's plastic, but I love plastic. I want to be plastic.-A.Warhol

Death means a lot of money, honey. Death can really make you look like a star.-A.Warhol

I hope you enjoyed the tiny sneak peak of the 13 photo's I can give you and if you are ever in the Pittsburgh, PA area I definitely suggest visiting the museum for yourself. I adore it and have been to a million of museums in NYC, and D.C. but the Andy Warhol Museum is still in my top 3. I'll leave you now with my favorite quote from Andy. I agree with this immensely!!! (Of course I would if you knew at all haha) Also here is the link to visit for more info on the museum and while on the site don't forget to check out the awesome gift shop! http://www.warhol.org/

"I suppose I have a really loose interpretation of "work" because I think that just being alive is so much work at something you don't always want to do. Being born is like being kidnapped. And then sold into slavery." Andy

This is How We Used to Make the Party Start

After skipping a month of 'Must Haves" due to I can't remember why I didn't do them. maybe August nothing was really that great to be had......but ohh don't you worry because September does! Enjoy loves!!!!

September Must Haves

10. The Pretty Reckless. Album release September 10th. Get on it.

9. Tights, tights, and more tights. This, to me is wayyy old news but for all you girls out there who do not already rock out mad tights, it's a essential for fall. If you really wanna have bad ass tights check out Ebay or any of my listed fashion sites. I bought the hands down most awesome tights recently from Revolve. Yeah the cost me $56, and that was at half off, but damn were they worth it.

8. Old School Albums. Dig through your CD collection or go to your local Record Exchange and pick up all your favs. Music was never better than when we were young so get to it.

7. Double Breasted Coat. Guys, this is all you. I know a lot of fashionable guys out there and they already know that this is Fall at it's finest.

6. Free Lil' Weezy.

5. MTV Video Music Awards. My favorite awards show hands down. Shit is crazy, fashion is crazy, and you never know if Kanye will cry or write an ALL CAPS blog the next day. Unfortunately they are being held in LA this year but it should still a good show. It's ALWAYS better when held at Radio City though. Nothing like that NYC energy!

4. Sony PlayStation Move. This thing is absolutely the shit. Google it and look it up for yourself but as my last review I read on it stated, "The technology is actually pretty similar to Nintendo's, but on Steroids!" Must have for any tech junkie. Sept. 15th UK release date. US still unannounced.

3. Dom Perignon-Andy Warhol Limited Edition. Simply fabulous and a wonderful collectors item for any Warhol fan. $229
2. Rafael Nadal. I'm sure your all sick of hearing me talk about him so I'll spare you but in the last and final week of the US Open he needs even more love then he already gets. Already has 8 Grand Slams under his belt but the only one missing is the US Open. I think this year is gonna be his year. Vamos!!!

1. Best Friends

Happy Memorial Day......I mean Labor Day haha
