We Don't Need No Thought Control

As we all know, the 2009 G-20 convention was held in Pittsburgh, PA this year. With this being my current residence, I decided to get in on the action.........well in on all this protesting I kept reading about. I woke up Friday morning and was watching the news(RARE!!!!) and saw that there was going to be an anti war peace march taking place. I was totally down for this. I also saw one of my best girlfriends from middle and high school holding a 90 minute silent protest. And if she could do this then I could too!

I went and put on my best umm protesting gear I guess you could call it. A long black full skirt that folded over at the waist and a green tee from the 1981 Pittsburgh Great Race. Braided my hair, did some heavy black eyeliner, and threw on some flip flops. I totally looked the part!!! But that's when the fun stopped. I jumped into my car and headed towards Oakland where some of the protests had been taking place. I was cruising, listening to Britney, trying to see where I would fit in best. Finally I parked the car and got out and kinda just stood there, just pacing around these so called protesters to see what I was supposed to do. I also thought I looked mega cute and was hoping to meet a hottie fighting for whatever he believed in. Didn't happen. So I stood and stood and finally shouted out "Make Love Not War"! After my great impact on society I figured it was time to hang up my protesting skills until next year. Put my Britney CD back on and took it home. I hope you all get the great chance to experience what I did! Thank you, thank you.

Peace and Love
