When the Music Comes Up and the Sun Goes Down

I am shocked to see that I never gave Femme Fatale a full review! With her tour off to a phenominal start, and her video for her 3rd single releasing today, I feel it's a perfect time to discuss just what "Femme Fatale" brings to the fans and the magic you feel while listening to it. This is Britney's 7th studio album. Her confidence is back in full swing and she is owning it. One thing that I want to say about this album is that I am soo happy and proud of Ms. Spears. Being a true Britney fan since '97 I can tell you that she looks happy again and that is what is most important.

FEMME FATALE
1. Till The Word Ends
2. Hold It Against Me
3. Inside Out
4. I Wanna Go
5. How I Roll
6. (Drop Dead) Beautiful
7. Seal It With A Kiss
8. Big Fat Bass
9. Trouble For Me
10. Trip To Your Heart
11. Gasoline
12. Criminal

Out of these 12 tracks there is not a single one that I do not like. They all have wondrful beats and energy. Her 1st single from the album was "Hold it Against Me", followed by "Till the World Ends", followed by "I Wanna Go." With that lets take a trip back to one of the best albums I believe ever made in general and for Britney; "Blackout". Although "Blackout" didn't get much publicity, a tour, or much of anything really due to Britney's rough time she was going through, you can ask any Britney fan what their favorite album was you will most likely hear Blackout by MANY. So take the Blackout and add a little old school Britney sounds, mix, and you have Femme Fatale.

This is an album that you pop in and you do not have to skip any tracks. Every track is beautifully done and the layout of the album flows greatly. Must Listens include: Till The World Ends(no words can describe how amazing this track is. It also has a remix version feat. Nicki Minaj and Ke$ha, who actually co wrote the track), Big Fat Bass feat. will i am, Hold it Against Me, Inside Out, I wanna Go, Trouble for Me, Gasoline.........okay I'm practically listing the enire album, thats how kick ass it is! I give it a 5 star rating. And if we want to compare, well here are all my personal rating on Britney's 7 albums.

1. .....Baby One More Time-5 Stars. Brilliant 1st album. Skyrocketed her immediatly to our Pop Princess.
2. Oops...I Did it Aagain-3 Stars.
3. Britney-3.5 Stars. Contains my favorite Britney Spears song ever made: Slave 4 U.
4. In the Zone-5 Stars. My personal favorite album so far in her career.
5. Blackout-5 Stars. Exceptional. My 2nd favorite album so far in her career.
6. Circus-2.5 Stars. If U Seek Amy(one of my top 5 Britney songs) is on it but there are many tracks you can skip.
7. Femme Fatale-5 Stars. My 3rd personal favorite album so fr in her career. Outstanding Album.

If you haven't already, which I know most of you have, go pick up a copy of Femme Fatale or downdoad from iTunes and see what the big fuss is that everyone is making. Also make sure you hit up the Femme Fatale Tour in a city near you. Britney Spears is now considered Legendary(wikipedia) and the Queen of Pop. Both are true.

And I Need A Vacation Tonight

Okay so I have a new song addiction. Go ahead and take a guess??? She's my absolute favorite performer since I was 17, she's gorgeous, and she always has the best choreography and is one of the most talented dancers (pop style wise) that I have ever seen. Humm who could it be? Would you Hold It Against Me if i didn't tell you????? Okay one more clue....... Her 1st album debuted at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200 and was certified two-times platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America after just one month!!!

It's Britney Bitch

Right now Britney has recently released her new single for her 8th studio album!!! Get excited!!! And it is called "Hold it Against Me". It's a totally new sound for Britters......well actually it takes me back to some of the tracks from "In the Zone" and "Blackout"-both being my 2 favorite Britney albums. It's a terrific dance song but it's not like BOMT or Slave 4 U. It's definitely more techno with the beats and rhythm. She has stated that she is "Very proud and In Love with her new album " , which makes me even more excited! I have to admit though that even though I adore Hold It Against Me, there is just something that's missing I feel like. I'm the BIGGEST Brit fan you will ever meet so I am not taking her down or anything. I actually believe this video is going to be EXCEPTIONAL. The whole part from around 2:30-3:15 is just beats. It's awesome. I already have choreography in my head for that section imparticular.

Question is, although we all will probably end up adoring this album and thrilled that the pop queen is rocking it again, will it equal up to let's just say Blackout? Blackout was my and many many many others my age, favorite album. Yes, she was going through a manic psychosis at the time(I believe), but I think that's what made it soo fucking good! All the best shit comes out when you are going through something. I still listen to that entire, not skipping a single song, album all the time. Hold It Against Me is more on the Blackout side than the Circus side so I do hope it is all crazy dance music with awesome lyrics. "Get Naked" is one of my loves.

I think this album is going to be a great success but what I really wish more than anything for her is freedom. The ability to have a life again. Although she unfortunately will never lead a traditional everyday life like most, she does deserve the ability to do everything else that a normal 29 year old would do. I could go on and on about this because it makes me sick that she lives under a conservatorship but I'll quit now. Everyday though when you walk out to your car to go to a friends or to dance class, work, etc., just remember Britney can't do that. How would you deal?

What is your favorite Britney Album and Single?
Gimme More-
Slave 4 U-

If U Seek Amy- i love
In The Zone-

Can You Get Me A Green Doll?......cont.

I believe I left off with White Oleander(my second favorite read ever) and tonight I will go over five more Novels, and Auto-Biographies that are "Must Reads" on my list as well. I hope you all are enjoying this and are exciting to begin letting your imagination flow this New Year by starting off with one of these!

MUST READS(cont.)

Go Ask Alice- Anonomous
*Go Ask Alice is one of the first books I ever read on my own. I kept it hidden in my bedroom and I was in 6th or 7th grade. Most of you, I'm assuming, have read, this powerful Diary of a girl who's rebellious ways led her to moving out as a teenager, having many dramatic relationships, living the hippy ways, and always tripping out on Acid. In many ways I loved and still love this book. Alice is somebody who I will never be. And at the time I read it she was everything I was not but dreamed of being. I wanted to be wild and free but instead I was very inhibited and a follower of the rules(minus the music I listened to). Alice reaches the end of the book back at home and clean ready to change her life around just when an old neighbor stops by to say high and gives her a little paper with a smiley face. Just one more time she thought. Well that time was the last for Alice had a bad trip causing her to go insane and kill herself.

Heavier Than Heaven- Charles Cross (also see Cobain Unseen by Charles Cross)
*This book is just one of those books that comes along once and a lifetime and if you were taken by his music, intrigued by his privacy, or/and also shaken that the great genius we all know as Kurt Cobain, had committed suicide at the young age of 27, then this auto-biography will take you through his life step by step. I love this book and have read it literally COUNTLESS times. It's a book that always has to be with me. The way Cross wrote about Kurt's life in such positivity and greatness leaves the reader not being able to book the book down from beginning to end. A must for any music lover. Although Kurt did end his life, you learn that he was in such despair and pain that he could no longer live and provide what was demanded of him. This books takes you through when he was a baby until the end. The story is a tragic one. Not one with many uplifting points. But that was Kurt and he's had "the suicide gene" since he can remember. Best Cobain book out there. My third favorite book ever.

RENT- Jonathan Larson
*
To properly get the correct book that i am about to describe let me explain what it looks like so you do not anything but. The book is very long(sort of like a final scrip or score long), it is black but looks very damaged. It is binded by the looks of silver duck tape and painted across the upper center in written RENT in b&w. If you love musical theatre then you have to have this. Anyone who loves musical theatre and is in generation X, like I am, usually placed RENT next to a God like creation. The creator Jonathan Larson had worked on this score for seven year.....never to see it open on Broadway. The story of how Rent became what is is now, which is legendary, is something for you all to read. It's magical and poetic and leaves both tears of sadness and joy. I will not give anymore away. I was lucky enough to see this two times on Broadway and when I think about it I still get chills.

Glamorama- Bret Easton Ellis
*This is the 3rd novel by Bret Easton Ellis on a list of my ten favorite all time books. As you can start to notice, I am just enthralled by his writing. The piece, Glamorama, is extremely hard to explain. I really don't know where to start but "I see specks". A line you'll see often throughout this long masterpiece. A very fucked up book about a guy that is also just as fucked up as the book. All I can say is please read it. You will not put it down and you will most likely have to read each page twice from being so taken off guard. It is worth every minute you spend on it. A twisted, open ended, piece of life seen through the eyes of a NYC yuppie. Written shortly after American Psycho.

Britney: Inside the Dream- Steve Dennis
*Steve Dennis finished this book about a year after Britney Spears' public breakdown. As a young girl and now as a woman I have and will always idolize Britney Spears. I see her, as do a lot of others, as a VERY fascinating individual. But that here is the problem. I remember in high school dancing to Britney with my best friend and saying "ohh I wish I was Britney!" Well be careful what you wish for. Now I see, as an adult, Britney leads a very uncharming life. This book takes you through all of the highs and lows of her entire life so far. She lived under a microscope, barely able to leave her house, has never had a real friend, gotten married twice just to feel the love and security from a man, which she never had from her alcoholic father who is now her Conservator. The whole thing is like one bad dream no one ever wanted to see. Her stunted mental growth along with the many mental issues Britney struggles with, leaves her life in the hands of the court. It's not a way to live. But on the other hand she is our Queen of Pop, our royalty. Please read this book just to understand what a day is like for this woman.

Ahh!!! And we are finished! So those are my top 10 books at the moment and of all time. Please check them out. The best place to purchase these is at www.amazon.com and you won't be disappointed. I promise you.

Peace & Love

Can You Get Me a Green Doll, Darling?

So the last time I wrote was about 2-3 weeks ago and I am soo sorry for that but please excuse me for that. I, 1st off, have a horrible time with the holidays(not much of a holiday girl. for some reason just always brings me down), and I am trying to get all my shit together for my move to Cali in 14 days. Trouble with the winter blues, time change, and packing has just left me exhausted. Soo exhausted that I had slept most of December away really hahahaha. Very excited for the New Year though! I feel really good vibes......for not only me but all of us. I just feel it!

I've been a tad OCD the past few days so instead of sleeping the 17 hours of the day that it is dark out, I actually gathered my bills, changed my address, transferred my car, and picked up the rest of my storage from a girlfriends house. Ohh and what I found was just wonderful! 3 whole boxes full of books, DVD's, and yes......every magazine from when Britney was having her meltdown in '06/'07. Talk about fun stuff to go through!!! Why I saved the magazines, I truly don't know but I NEVER do anything without a reason so they will go in the box with my other important magazines and Rolling Stones. I collect a lot of Michael Jackson and Nirvana/Kurt Cobain as well as almost every Rolling Stone Britney Spears has been on. And as for collecting, that IT. I don't collect anything else......besides maybe a couple of my cocktail dresses that will be vintage couture one day. I mean I wish I could say I collected Balenciaga bags, but nope.....just old Rolling Stones and People magazines haha. I enjoy them though so that's what matters. After the stack of week by week Britney breakdown, I started to unload my books and I was like the BIGGEST dork on the planet. I literally couldn't stop smiling. If you know me, you will know that reading and writing are 2 of my biggest loves and seeing my huge collection of books really got me high on life.

I have a particular genre that I usually lean towards and that is the Biography/Auto-Biography genre. I find it fascinating to read about how people got where they are, their struggles, and the passion that they had for their work. I do have a handful of favorite Fictional pieces as well. Below is a list I have composed of my favorites. If you have a wild imagination and really really can get into the character or person, then you are like me. When I find a piece I am to the point of obsession with, I almost transform into that character. Not to sound too nuts(even though I think I'm past that point), but when reading it literally takes me out of my realm of reality and into anothers. I suggest all these books to the highest degree. Boys-I'm sorry but a lot of these are ballet books. But more like crazy ballerinas so believe me you really might enjoy! And this is just a handful I'm writing down so if you need more, don't fret I got you covered.

MUST READS

Dancing on my Grave- by Gelsey Kirkland
*One of my top favs for various reasons. Let's just start off that I read this book while in the beginning of 9th grade for the 1st time. I have now read it over 100 times. And every time it still fascinates me. Gelsey is one of NYCB's Balanchine ballerinas. While there she was anorexic, obsessive compulsive, and had a great case of perfectionism. Later, with ABT, she had many of affairs with Baryshnikov, living off one apple a day, and a spiraling out of control cocaine addiction. All while being the most Prima of the Ballerina's in the world.

Valley of the Dolls- by Jacqueline Susann
*I'm sure most of you have at least heard of this spectacular book if not haven't already read it. But hello! it's Valley of the Dolls!!! It's to die. Takes place in I believe the late 50's early '60's. The story is of 3 women who move to NYC to live and go for their dreams and as soon as they all get what they want, everything becomes disastrous. The call pills, in the book, "dolls". "hand me 2 red dolls darling won't you?) And as they all get by there days on uppers and downers in amounts that Elvis must have taken, breakdowns, psych wards, and fame appear and disappear quickly.

Less Than Zero- Bret Easton Ellis
I got this at the bookshop in college one after noon while I was supposed to be buying History and Economic books. After the 1st page I knew this book was going to be astonishing. I skipped classes to stay home and read this book. It is about a bunch of rich brats returning from their 1st semester of college to L.A. where they all grew up. Drugs, sex, scandal, and anything you could ever want. This is actually my favorite book EVER........hands down.

American Psycho- Bret Easton Ellis
Yes.....every book that Bret has written I have read and I die for. American Psycho is no different. I actually read the book before I saw the movie and although nothing compares with Christian Bales performance of Patrick Bateman but I must say nothing gets better than the book. I'm sure many of you know, Bateman, is an psychotic character that you kind of actually end up liking. "I have all the characteristics of a human being: blood, flesh, skin, hair; but not a single, clear, identifiable emotion, except for greed and disgust. Something horrible is happening inside of me and I don't know why. My nightly bloodlust has overflown into my days. I feel lethal, on the verge of frenzy. I think my mask of sanity is about to slip."-Patrick Bateman

Off Balance- Suzanne Gordon
This book is a intense look inside the crazy world of Ballet. Suzanne takes you into the depths of despair of what is soo beautiful is actually very very ugly. The competitiveness, the strive to be the best of the best of the best, body image, drugs, and the stage mothers who are there every minute watching their own daughters or sons die over an art that is so complex that nobody can make it perfect. Who will make it out alive?

White Oleander- Janet Fitch
I read this way before the movie came out and it is my second favorite book right behind Less than Zero. I actually because so infatuated with this book that at times I would read the same page over 4 times to make the masterpiece last longer. The main characters name is Astrid. Her mother goes to jail but is a very free spirit. Astrid is thrown into California's foster care and goes through hell and back. This book will move you. This book will leave you for years wanting more. I can't put into words how much I care for this story.

OKAY..........well that was only 6, so tomorrow i will do another 6. I hope you enjoy the miniature synopsis's and they make you want to go pick them up at the library or on Amazon tomorrow. Have a FABULOUS NYE.

Peace&Happy New Year

Shorty is a Eenie, Meenie, Miney, Mo, Lova-Part 2

Where I left off........which I'm speaking of when I was still talking about the 2010 AMA's, I think I just finished off on what a great night our little J. Beiber had, and he did. Congrats doll! Now on with the show!

I actually missed a couple of the performances but did make it to see the second half. The only person I truly cared to see was my girl, Taylor Swift but before I caught her, I saw Rhianna open the show. I actually really like that song that she sang for the second half of her performance. I have no idea the name because I won't lie, I'm not really a huge Rhianna follower. I do(most of the time) love her style and right now I am MAJORLY OBSESSED with her hair. Ever since she added extensions and colored it that crazy bright bright red, I've loved her. I was sooo over that short man hair cut she had going on. Ohh and I did have a thing for Disturbia. I think I spent a month listening to it on repeat. Bible. I did not like her outfit tonight or her backup dancers. She looked way cuter in the crown and white tutu get up she wore for the VMA's with Em. And then the next time I saw the television Ms. Taylor was coming on.

Can we say GORGEOUS!!!! I love Taylor no matter what her hair, make up, and clothes are doing but man she must have hired a killer stylist for this evening because it was a brand new Taylor. Enough about that though. Once again I think EVERYONES vocals sounded a lil off tonight so just putting it all on Taylor and having people talk about her singing live like they did at the CMA's, let's just say she did a great job with what she had to work with. She sang "Back to December", which is a love song about changing your mind about dating someone and then going back and looking at it and think like 'what was I thinking? I do really like him. Why did I do that?' I do this alot because I can never make up my mind and not saying I have commitment issues, because I don't believe I do, but I always do leave a lot of relationships due to me over analysing everything about it. I totally get this song, just like I get every other one of Taylor's songs. The song is about Taylor Laughtner, that kid from the vampire movies. Along with "Back to December", "Story of Us" is also about Mr. Laughtner. I don't believe the two dated. maybe they talked on the phone and held hands once or twice but hey you know how young love is at that age. Very dramatic. (I think he's 18 and she's 21) She wore a Black Suit and her hair slicked back in a straight ponytail with long bangs and played and sang at the piano, got up to do a brief rendition of "Appologize" then finished. Beautiful performance.

Next I got to see that trashy girl that I think should be banned from kids under 18. Her name is Ke$ha. Well Kesha once again you looked and performed(or whatever she were trying to do) very poorly. She had on the eye goggles that had bright lights in them and the stage was set up like it was a club and her dancers sucked and it was just one big hot hot mess! How this chick is popular, I just don't know. Alright can't talk about her anymore. I'm going to barf if I do.

A few more people did their thing(Xtina, Usher, some people I've never heard of before). Nothing and no one great. The only thing that even gave the show a little pizazz was the Backstreet/NKOTB performance. The highlight of my night was getting to stare at Gavin Rossdale(can Bush get back together and tour again please?) for a good 5 minutes. Damn that man is hot. I've loved him since well whenever Sixteen Stone came out. Hot, hot, hot. Overall I give this awards show a 1 1/2 stars for lack of good performers. Personally I think we need to take it back and remember when performances were really freaking cool or history making. I haven't seen a memorable performance in years and that pains me because I live for this.

Like hey Justin Timerlake, why do you have to tease us with the AMAZING "Future Sex/Love Sounds" album, and all the incredible performances that came with it then just dip out for like 4 years? Really though J, how are you gonna bring SEXYBACK and then just dip. Not cool. Chris Brown......I don't really care anymore that you assaulted your gf. I miss your dancing. It was right up there with MJ's! Britney, listen I know your fathers a dick and wants to keep you under lock and key forever but you have to break free. Find those medical records of yours, erase it all, and give it to the judge and say you're cool again. You never never left us disappointed. I can't think of one performance you did that wasn't memorable. Even that VMA "Gimme More" performance, the one where you took like 20 tequila shots on top of who knows what kind of meds Sam Lufti fed you that day, it was still quite entertaining! Please come back and no more marking the choreography. Full out Britney, full out! The rest of my favorite entertaining peeps are either dead, band is no longer together, or just don't do sell out award shows like this.

Speaking of someone who was missing tonight because he would never perform at this shit was Eminem. It really was kinda like a teeny bopper show. He and Lil Weezy would have looked a lil out of place and way too cool up there rapping "No Love". The worst is that Beiber won everything over Em. Ohh kids......one of these days you'll learn what a genius Eminem is(Beiber has been listening to Em since he was 3 supposedly. I would hope not cause he's real f'd in the head if he has. I mean we do have to admit Eminem is not the most sane person out there) but until then I totally understand your love for the Beibs. I even watched his video a few times for the "baby baby baby" song. So cute. And everyone is rocking the Beiber haircut. Hell, if I was 15 I would totally be in love with this kid too. But I'm older so I will wish him the best and watch his kick ass performances. He does remind me of a future JT. But if I were to vote I would obviously be voting for the album that I probably wrote at least 10 blogs about, Recovery.

Tonight was kinda like a huge wake up call that we need something to happen in music because it's pretty dead right now. Rap scene is pretty hot(Em, kanye, jay, Dre Weezy) but other than that in all truthfulness, T. Swizzle and Beiber is the best we've got. And Taylor doesn't dance so that moves her down a spot. I do have MASSIVE hope and faith in the band "The Pretty Reckless". The 1st album is amazing and I wish they weren't so new so they could be out there but they are still in the promo phase. Definetly check them out though. I post them a lot. Hope you all enjoyed them and hope you enjoyed my trip down, what was actually good music, lane.

For the LOVE of Music

As you grow you go through many many phases. I, as well as a lot of others, was heavily influenced by music. Music was my life and music still is my life. Live performances and going to shows and concerts are my favorite and it does alter my life. But as I grew up, the power of music and the icons that created it, all took for for a run. And what a ride it was....
In my childhood there were 3 major music periods that really influenced me. 1st being Madonna and Michael. I didn't really care if I was 3 or 4 cause I had my fake wedding dress on and was rolling around the living room performing "Like a Virgin" like there was no tomorrow. My mother told me that my Dad would practically die everytime I did this. But it's all good because I would switch off to "Material Girl" as well. She was soooo cool and I wanted to be her!

Michael.....well where do I begin? I mean who doesn't remember Michael all throughout their childhood. He was embedding in my head and I was soo intrigued by his dancing. Even though I knew by know I wanted to be a dancer, I will say that I do think Michael had an influence. I even remember the day his double disc, "Michael Jackson - HIStory: Past, Present and Future, Book", came out with "Scream" on it. And man did I worship that CD. I was older than too. Probably like 12/13?? All I can say is that I feel very happy to have grown up when I did(even though I wish it was the late 60's but whatever) because I had REALLY FREAKING AMAZING musical artists to watch and learn from. And yes of course I was OBSESSED with NKOTB, along with every other girl. That was phase/period 1.

The 2nd musical period that greatly influenced me and made me grow as a person was the Alternative Rock/Grunge phase in the early-mid 90's. This is still the music I listen to now. I don't know what it was about it or if it was just how just insanely talented these musicians were, the lyrics, the whole package. It even changed fashion at the time. I never shopped anywhere but the Goodwill for a good 3-4 years. The time I am speaking of is a time that I'm sure all of you remember greatly as well. The time Kurt Cobain ended his life, Billy Corgan told us the 'world is a vampire', Bush had us screaming 'breathe in, breathe out, Weezer entertained us with the unforgettable video to 'Buddy Holly', NIN had us come 'closer'(that video was banned and only played after midnight on MTV. Do you remember that?), Hole with Courtney Love(still the queen of rock) having us grieve over Kurt to the album 'Live Through This', and all the while we were jumping up and down, banging our heads, in these things called Mosh Pits.

I do believe that after this music died in a way. Can you really think of anything that can even try to compare now? It's sad in a way. I wish I would live it all, all over again. BTW, my favorite song ever, up until this day and probably until I die, is Nirvana's 'Dumb'.

Then there was a pause and nothing really great was happening. We got into rap with Biggie, 2Pac, Puff Daddy, Snoop and Dr. Dre. They were the kings now and had a HUGE influence not only on us kids but on the whole nation.

Gangs began again in a big way, Biggie got shot, 2Pac got attacked by Suge Knight and his fellow Crips(no one will accept the fact that he is dead so I'll just say 'he went away for a long time'), Puff daddy changed his name 45 times, and Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg made an album that would forever change the rap world, "The Cronic". This had really not to much of any impact on me, but I mean who didn't listen to Biggie, 2Pac, and Puffy? You'd be lying if you hadn't. Now what period I want to get to is the late 90's.

All the sudden pop music came back. And it came back in a huge way. Boy bands came back. We had N'Sync, Backstreet Boys, 98 Degrees, Christina Aguilera, Jessica Simpson(well she tried), and the pop princess herself....Ms. Britney Spears. You either liked N'sync or the Backstreet Boys. Couldn't like Both. It was either Nick from BSB or Justin from N'sync. Had to be loyal to your pop imaginary bf. I think 98 degrees was up for grabs but there were some chicks who really dug Nick. I found this group of 5 guys called N'Sync singing and dancing away on the Disney channel one evening. It was love at 1st sight. Not only with their music but also with Justin. I claimed him. Hahahahaha omgoodness this sounds sooo silly but in high school this was important stuff.

I threw in a videotape and taped the rest of the show. It believe it was right afterwards a girl came on my age with the same type of Disney Special. It was Britney Spears at 17. After that I spent my days and nights learning all of the choreography of N'Sync as well as Britney's. They MAJORLY changed the direction I wanted to go in the dance world. Up until then I had been studying about 25+ hours a week to become a ballerina, now I was seeing a whole new thing and it was a blast and sooooo much different than the world of ballet. And although I strived on the pain ballet gave me and the control it gave me and the competitiveness to always be the best, I made this 'pop dancing' thing something fun on the side to do while not in the studio. Well and then I fell in love with it and decided I wanted to switch my main technique over to this kind of dancing. I began looking for how to get into this and discovered within a day or two basically all the auditions came out of LA a small portion out of NYC.

Well that wasn't an option at 17 so I just kept practicing and learning each new piece of choreography until it was perfect, just like I thought Britney was. So there we all were, these teenage girls going to every pop concert we could and longing to meet our favorite boy band bf. It was actually a really fun time. A really fun time. But it REALLY changed my views on careers and dance. I still don't know if that is a bad or good thing. I think about the choices I made during that period all the time. Also in this time, a role model to me and possibly the best rap artist in history, Eminem came out. That's what the boys were into at the time. They loved him.

You're Dangerous, I'm Lovin' It

I cannot believe I haven't gotten a chance to write about what I call the best thing to happen to TV in a long time......Glee's Britney/Brittany episode! 1st off I heard that this was in the making over the summer so you cannot imagine how excited I was when it was finally time to air. We all know Brit's my girl and knowing that she loving being a part of Glee and had a great time on the set made me just sooo happy for her. If you're not up to snuff, Britney still leads a completely controlled life being under restraints of her conservatorship, that mess of a wedding to Kevin, and for a couple years she went absolutely insane. Psychiatric Analysis still unknown but it must be something rotten if she still has to ask her dad for money. This ALWAYS reminds me to "be careful what you wish for". Do you think Britters would have left the scene after her 1st album if she could see into the future and saw what it held for her? I think she would have!

Anyways.....not only is this episode my favorite Glee episode(which is rough because I say every episode is my favorite), but I mean something about made me just want to go crazy and get up and dance!!! It's all the Britney music! It does something to the soul and makes you feel sooo alive again. Episode started off with my girl Brittany(Heather Morris) going under at the dentists and transforms herself in Miss Spears. Now this is when I stopped, dropped my jaw, and said hold up........that girl can dance!!! She did amazing, especially in the chorus sections of 'Slave'. I mean I know that dance down pat and she didn't miss a beat. It's not a very easy one either do to you have to look like you are the sexiest bitch to ever be born! Then she also did a fabulous job singing as Britney as well. A day later i found out that Heather actually moved to LA to dance and starred as one of Beyonce's back up dancers at the AMA's for a performance of "Single Ladies". All in all Heather Morris(Brittany) was the perfect Britney Spears.

Other songs in the episode included "Me Against the Music",(Heather and Santana), "....Baby One More Time", (Lea Michele aka Rachel), and the finale......TOXIC! This was the most humerus, genius, fabulous, talented, performance of toxic that I have ever seen. Basically the whole school gets into this Britney Spears trance and the pep rally while the Glee members perform. They take toxic to a whole new sexy level which I didn't even know was possible. Will is trying to win back Emma like always so he gets in on this performance as well. You must watch Sue's facials as she watches this and her final line about it would make anyone die with laughter. "It's a Britney Spears Sex Riot!!!" Below is the take of Toxic so please enjoy and just for your knowledge, Glee was actually created to keep the Arts in the school systems around the nation so please support the arts because without them we wouldn't have a thing! Okay now go get your GLEEK on!

Just one more tidbit about the impact of this episode.......It came in with the 2nd closest viewers to the finale of Seinfeld. Power of having Brit on your credits!

Peace & Britney

I Can't Get No Satisfaction Baby

Less than four days until the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards. In honor of my favorite award show of the year due to it's insanity, hot mess fashion, raunchy performances, and just the great celebrations of music and those who make me smile everyday; We are going to do a 5 day VMA write up on the VMA past, future, and more! Let's begin with a girl who is a VMA legend. Miss Britney Jean Spears. Since the year of 1999, Brit has been making us stare in awe of her amazing talent, beauty, and legendary performances.

It's quite hard to pick out an absolute favorite VMA performance of Britney because each one is on it's own different level of thrill and brilliance. Because of that I have decided that we will do a run through of her five, to die for, live performances!

In 1998 Britney Spears was just a little 17 year old with a few #1 hits. But she strut the stage like a 45 year old veteran with the power and confidence of no other. She wore a Versace two piece and long blonde hair extensions and did a remix of her infamous hit, Baby One More Time. The choreography, the set, the energy, were all perfect. You couldn't take your eyes off of her. A superstar was born that night,

The following year, in September of 2000, Spears took her performance and perfectionism to a whole new level. This performance actually I can truly say, is one of the best performances I have ever seen from any performer. Absolutely insane. She donned a nude push up bra and low rise bottoms with jewels sporadically placed all over. Her body was just sick. Fucking sick! But her performance was the sickest, letting everyone know she was here to stay and was there to be crowned the new Pop Queen, Ands she was, she really was. This act started with a striptease to "I can't Get No Satisfaction", into a miraculous rendition of "Oops....I Did it Again".

The girl just didn't quit and in 2001, Britney Spears was now a well known household name and the pop princess of the world. With her 3rd album "Britney" being released soon, she gave us the 1st listen to her new single with what is probably the most well known VMA performance of all time. "I'm a Slave 4 U", was performed with such electricity, not a soul that was watching that night could even blink. That's how much control she had over the audience with her appearances by now. The costume is the well known green push up halter with teeny shorts/ripped jeweled skirt, and nude knee high flat boots. Tigers, and snakes were thrown about the stage along with about 20 phenomenal back up dancers. With choreography done by Wade Robinson, this piece was a 4 minute masterpiece of dancing at it's finest. And once again, Britney showing us just how ridiculously fabulous she was.
In 2003, Britney Spears, along with Madonna and Christina Aguilera, made the most shocking VMA performance in history. Starting off with Britney and Christina singing "Like a Virgin", dressed in staple raunchy 80's style bridal get ups, they moaned and groaned and made sure everyone knew something very incredible was going to go on. Shortly after their arrival on stage, the Pop Queen herself, Madonna rose onto the top of the stairs and began singing "Hollywood" dressed in a tight blacktop and pants. The three pop stars sang and danced and then made history by Madonna sharing a kiss with Britney and Xtina, also known as passing down the thrown and make Britney the official Queen of Pop.

The next few years Britney just did a little presenting, making the VMA's a lost less enjoyable to watch but in 2007 she had released her best album, in my eyes, Blackout, but was also going through a very hard time in her life displaying heartbreaking signs of depression, anxiety, and manic behavior. Nonetheless Britney did sign on to open the Video Music Awards. No one really knew what the outcome would be and what it was was not her best. As she performed "Gimme More" on the stage in Las Vegas going in and out of marking the choreography, we all knew that something was horribly wrong. This was not our Britney and America cried as well as Britney when it was all over. After her personal troubles very slowly recovered and are still coming together, she showed us her new and improved self as she opened with a skit then a speech on stage at the 2008 VMA's. She was bubbly and absolutely stunning. Britney was back and took home 3 moon men that year.
So what was your favorite performance? Or can you not pick one like me? No we will not see Britney this year at the show performing or presenting but hopefully next year something will be in the works. After Blackout she released Circus and did a wonderful world tour that I believe did bring her a lot of happiness. And that's all I want for Britney right now is just that. For her to be able to be free and happy. Unfortunately I do not believe she is either. She is still the Queen of Pop and will always be. Below you can watch 4 mini documentaries by MTV dedicated to Britney and all of her remarkable performances and appearances throughout the Video Music Awards. You can also watch all of her performances on http://www.mtv.com/ontv/vma/

Can't wait for a VMA "Femme Fatale" performance in 2011!

Hope you enjoy my darling fans!!!!
Peace & Britters,

All My GLEEKERS in the Crowd, Grab a Partner Take it Down

It's Britney BITCH

Yes! Britter plus Glee equals MAJOR excitment in me! Ha! So I was doing a little behind the scenes look at what went down on the day of the shoot and it looks like Britney had a blast. And whenever Britney's happy, I'm happy. Whenever we think we have it bad everyone should pop in my favorite Documentary......Britney: For the Record. And take a good look at what its like to live under the restraints and hurricane that she has to deal with everyday, you will really appreciate the fact that you can walk down the street and have the simple pleasure of drinking a coffee and reading a book at a coffee shop. She does not have that priviledge.

So I know I'm Gleeked about Glee Season 2. But what a better way to start it then with Miss Britney Spears. Below are some sneak peak photos of Britney and Brittany(Heather Morris) doing a revised verion of 'Me against the Music'. It's adorable!

Britney Spears hit the set of Glee for her cameo in the upcoming season and must have done such a good job because they’re already hoping to be hit one more time! Co-creator Ryan Murphy told Access Hollywood on Saturday that Britney will most likely be back on Glee. “Probably, yeah… probably,” he said.

Congrats Brit! And how hot does she look in her little white suit! Guess she got to play the role of Madonna. And I'll end it with the sweetest thing ever...... "Had so much fun on set today. My new BFF’s".

Peace and Love,
S

If you truly love me and Britney Spears then UNFOLLOW Lady Gaga on your twitter accounts if you have one. We need Brit back at the top where she belongs. Lady Gaga is not even a real person. She is a character that she made up in her mind and plays the role of it everyday. If she would let down her guard some I would not be saying this. I'm not disliking her or her talent but I am saying that I prefer Britney's realness and talent 100000 times better. Thank you! Get her back on the Queen or whatever they call it. I'm about to start fighting to become twitter queen.......hahaha might take me a while I believe I only have like 30 followers hehe. xoxo
