Shorty is a Eenie, Meenie, Miney, Mo, Lova-Part 2

Where I left off........which I'm speaking of when I was still talking about the 2010 AMA's, I think I just finished off on what a great night our little J. Beiber had, and he did. Congrats doll! Now on with the show!

I actually missed a couple of the performances but did make it to see the second half. The only person I truly cared to see was my girl, Taylor Swift but before I caught her, I saw Rhianna open the show. I actually really like that song that she sang for the second half of her performance. I have no idea the name because I won't lie, I'm not really a huge Rhianna follower. I do(most of the time) love her style and right now I am MAJORLY OBSESSED with her hair. Ever since she added extensions and colored it that crazy bright bright red, I've loved her. I was sooo over that short man hair cut she had going on. Ohh and I did have a thing for Disturbia. I think I spent a month listening to it on repeat. Bible. I did not like her outfit tonight or her backup dancers. She looked way cuter in the crown and white tutu get up she wore for the VMA's with Em. And then the next time I saw the television Ms. Taylor was coming on.

Can we say GORGEOUS!!!! I love Taylor no matter what her hair, make up, and clothes are doing but man she must have hired a killer stylist for this evening because it was a brand new Taylor. Enough about that though. Once again I think EVERYONES vocals sounded a lil off tonight so just putting it all on Taylor and having people talk about her singing live like they did at the CMA's, let's just say she did a great job with what she had to work with. She sang "Back to December", which is a love song about changing your mind about dating someone and then going back and looking at it and think like 'what was I thinking? I do really like him. Why did I do that?' I do this alot because I can never make up my mind and not saying I have commitment issues, because I don't believe I do, but I always do leave a lot of relationships due to me over analysing everything about it. I totally get this song, just like I get every other one of Taylor's songs. The song is about Taylor Laughtner, that kid from the vampire movies. Along with "Back to December", "Story of Us" is also about Mr. Laughtner. I don't believe the two dated. maybe they talked on the phone and held hands once or twice but hey you know how young love is at that age. Very dramatic. (I think he's 18 and she's 21) She wore a Black Suit and her hair slicked back in a straight ponytail with long bangs and played and sang at the piano, got up to do a brief rendition of "Appologize" then finished. Beautiful performance.

Next I got to see that trashy girl that I think should be banned from kids under 18. Her name is Ke$ha. Well Kesha once again you looked and performed(or whatever she were trying to do) very poorly. She had on the eye goggles that had bright lights in them and the stage was set up like it was a club and her dancers sucked and it was just one big hot hot mess! How this chick is popular, I just don't know. Alright can't talk about her anymore. I'm going to barf if I do.

A few more people did their thing(Xtina, Usher, some people I've never heard of before). Nothing and no one great. The only thing that even gave the show a little pizazz was the Backstreet/NKOTB performance. The highlight of my night was getting to stare at Gavin Rossdale(can Bush get back together and tour again please?) for a good 5 minutes. Damn that man is hot. I've loved him since well whenever Sixteen Stone came out. Hot, hot, hot. Overall I give this awards show a 1 1/2 stars for lack of good performers. Personally I think we need to take it back and remember when performances were really freaking cool or history making. I haven't seen a memorable performance in years and that pains me because I live for this.

Like hey Justin Timerlake, why do you have to tease us with the AMAZING "Future Sex/Love Sounds" album, and all the incredible performances that came with it then just dip out for like 4 years? Really though J, how are you gonna bring SEXYBACK and then just dip. Not cool. Chris Brown......I don't really care anymore that you assaulted your gf. I miss your dancing. It was right up there with MJ's! Britney, listen I know your fathers a dick and wants to keep you under lock and key forever but you have to break free. Find those medical records of yours, erase it all, and give it to the judge and say you're cool again. You never never left us disappointed. I can't think of one performance you did that wasn't memorable. Even that VMA "Gimme More" performance, the one where you took like 20 tequila shots on top of who knows what kind of meds Sam Lufti fed you that day, it was still quite entertaining! Please come back and no more marking the choreography. Full out Britney, full out! The rest of my favorite entertaining peeps are either dead, band is no longer together, or just don't do sell out award shows like this.

Speaking of someone who was missing tonight because he would never perform at this shit was Eminem. It really was kinda like a teeny bopper show. He and Lil Weezy would have looked a lil out of place and way too cool up there rapping "No Love". The worst is that Beiber won everything over Em. Ohh kids......one of these days you'll learn what a genius Eminem is(Beiber has been listening to Em since he was 3 supposedly. I would hope not cause he's real f'd in the head if he has. I mean we do have to admit Eminem is not the most sane person out there) but until then I totally understand your love for the Beibs. I even watched his video a few times for the "baby baby baby" song. So cute. And everyone is rocking the Beiber haircut. Hell, if I was 15 I would totally be in love with this kid too. But I'm older so I will wish him the best and watch his kick ass performances. He does remind me of a future JT. But if I were to vote I would obviously be voting for the album that I probably wrote at least 10 blogs about, Recovery.

Tonight was kinda like a huge wake up call that we need something to happen in music because it's pretty dead right now. Rap scene is pretty hot(Em, kanye, jay, Dre Weezy) but other than that in all truthfulness, T. Swizzle and Beiber is the best we've got. And Taylor doesn't dance so that moves her down a spot. I do have MASSIVE hope and faith in the band "The Pretty Reckless". The 1st album is amazing and I wish they weren't so new so they could be out there but they are still in the promo phase. Definetly check them out though. I post them a lot. Hope you all enjoyed them and hope you enjoyed my trip down, what was actually good music, lane.

I Need a Doctor

This must be a REALLY early leak cause you can tell it hasn't be mastered and all that other great stuff they can do when they lay tracks now a days but it's still awesome and soo exciting. And Dre, Eminem, (and Snoop) have always been my favorite Rap Artists and with Dre taking Em under his wing in '97 or '98 and believing in him just makes me love him even more. Here's a supposed track leaked from DETOX!!!!!!!! Can't wait. Dre & Em. Enjoy.

Road Back From Hell

That is the title for the interview with Marshall Mather's on this weeks cover of Rolling Stone. As we all know, Em' really has been through hell and back. So have a few of my dearest friends and with this album, Recovery, we all came together and talked about what an impact it made on us. Whether we were clean, relapsing, or detoxing, we are all in this lifetime process called Recovery. It's a hard thing to explain because unless you're also in recovery, because it's like talking to a wall trying to make people understand(no offense). Eminem did this amazingly using music as his outlet his past 2 albums and I can say that they have changed my life. And a full blown Eminem addict! So this goes out to my boys and girls who've been there and know how to understand and decipher Marshall's interviews. God bless.

Eminem has never moved from Detroit. He's a self called "creature of habit". With this he has his very tight close group of friends, his 3 daughters. Alana being Kim's sister's daughter, Halie being his child he had with Kim, and Whitney(his youngest) from Kim's ex marriage. Yes, I know that all sounded strange but as soon as Em' got any kind of money he basically picked up and saved everyone that needed it. He doesn't want anyone to have to grow up the way he did. He even legally adopted his little brother so his brother could get a shot at a normal life that Marshall never got to experience.

He thrives on his struggles and takes it out on his infamous albums. Recovery is an honest to God truthful tale of what all this shit is like that people in recovery deal with everyday. The 1st time I listened to it I cried because I felt as though he was talking to me and in a way he was. Like saving me everytime I slip. Just to give a shout out and since I write about Em in a lot of my blogs, I will still say this one again........go get this album if you don't have it. And listen to it the whole way through and believe me after that you won't be stressing about bullshit drama or like ***** would say "fucking stink bugs!"

Road Back From Hell

He begins with saying "what's up man? I'm Marshall". In conversation he's thoughtful and polite, albeit not in a way you'd mistake for friendliness. He's currently going through a Diet Coke obsession causing many bathroom breaks throughout the interview. He also admits to having a bit of OCD, which is pretty normal for any addict because you always have to be in control of something. This builds comfort(at least I know for me) that no matter what I am able to take the simplest thing and make it mine. When bored I switch to another obsession. As you probably know, Marshall lost his best friend Desaun, and while he was already really bad into his habit, after the death of Proof it left Eminem to enter a downward spiral. He admits that he was soo high at Desaun's funeral that it disgusts him but he just couldn't deal. He is now 2 1/2 years sober and feels as though he is on top of the world. And in a way he actually is but you wouldn't know it. He doesn't ride the fame game, clubs, dating actresses, or anything else that most of those in fame endure. He lives in a gated community right outside of Detroit with his 3 girls and goes to work in his state of the art studio he built right outside of his home. In the song "Going Through Changes", Em' touches on this. "That song is about my addiction, and my mind frame at the time. I don't feel like a recluse now. I do go out and do things-it's just hard. You have to take people with you for safety and it's just a pain in the ass. When I didn't have an album out for four/five years, I could go to the gas station, go paces and not get recognized. It was a really good feeling. That may sound weird because I do try to get peoples attention with my music, but I am not an attention seeker. When I'm not Eminem, I'm just Marshall-it's hard."

One being a Role Model: "Whatever I can be to people is fine. Some people may look up to me. Some people may consider me a fucking menace. But I am grateful for every fan letter I get, and for every person who says I helped save them."

To read the full article please go purchase Rolling Stone. It's something that will ultimately bring you right back down to earth and for those that "had to go to that place to get to this place".

-Ohh yeah and if you don't already know or haven't heard him say this, he will fully admit to being crazy and out of his mind. But what genious artist isn't? Think about the song "Stan". You have to be absolutly insane to come up with that shit! I love you Doody!

That's why we sing for these kids, who don't have a thing
Except for a dream, and a fuckin' rap magazine
Who post pin-up pictures on their walls all day long
Idolize they favorite rappers and know all they songs
Or for anyone who's ever been through shit in their lives
Till they sit and they cry at night wishin' they'd die
Till they throw on a rap record and they sit, and they vibe
We're nothin' to you but we're the fuckin' shit in they eyes

Now I'm Standing Alone in a Crowded Room

Now time for November 2010's MUST HAVES......enjoy!

10. Haute Hippie. I love this collection and I think it's accessible and has pieces to fit every girls style. Try it out!

9. Taylor Swift's "Speak Now". Don't get me started. I just love this girl!

8. Kanye West's "My Twisted Fucked Up Fantasy". Or whatever our lovely Kanye named his album. As much as i rip on the man, I always say at the end what an amazing artist he is. Rolling stone gave this a perfect 5 star review so I think we all might wanna give it a go. Just remember never watch Kanye's "Movie" directer debut. It hurts.

7. It's almost time for the wonderful and great masterpiece called the mash up of Lanvin and H & M. I believe this is debuting the 23rd so be ready because I've heard of tremendous lines for it already. Even all the celebs I follow on Twitter are going to have their personal assistants in line for this. Also don't forget to watch the amazing preview video i posted a few blogs earlier.

6. Thigh Highs. These are soo hot right now and not just for the bedroom. Make a statement and get your inner Taylor Momsen out and just rock it! The main photo on this page shows a beautiful outstanding fashion statement. Thigh Highs from H&M.

5. Red Charte Chain Link Halter Bandeau Bikini. When is it ever not the right time to splurge on bikinis??? Never. I just found this and am desperately in love. Gorgeous huh!

4. Treasure Your Loved Ones. Everyone in this world messes up. Help others like you would want to be helped. Keep your head high and just love as much as you can. <3>

3. Rolling Stone. Eminem(my future husband) graces the cover this month with his hotness and a nice long spread about coming back from the hell and prison he was living under while under the influence of drugs. It came out today but due to living in Pittsburgh, I couldn't find it anywhere. See now when you live in say NYC or LA that shit is on newsstands by Wednesday.

2. iPod Nano generation 6. I think i said that right but anyhow, this little mini square of genius may be the coolest/cutest thing I've ever seen. If purchasing don't forget to purchase for (RED) which I'm sure everyone knows all about. Just in case you do not though (RED) is an organization who works with a lot of high profit companies, such as Starbucks and so on, who give up to 50% of the products profits to the Global Fund to invest in HIV & Aids programs in Africa. One of my favorite causes.

How Close Were You To Dying? 2 Hours.

Dear Doody,

I made a sweet ass Doody playlist tonight for you to listen to when you get your laptop. And I was thinking about it and I do think even though it may be backtracking if you do decide to make the trip again that we do stop by Detroit. I mean why the fuck not, right? We only live once. So as I was sitting here writing a blog about Taylor Swift, which I'm sure you'd disapprove of anyways haha and I put on The Marshall Mathers LP and Marshall Mathers came on. Man did I start dying laughing. "Man I just don't get it. Last year I was nobody, now I'm selling records." Ohh that Doody is a funny one. 'What are you selling Em? You selling some records? Like in the record store?" And then I just started thinking about you and how some people truly do come into your life with full reason. God, where do I start. You saved my ass. Like big time. And I saved yours right back like a year later. Without eachother I really don't know what the hell our crazy ass's would be doing. Look at us now though. We're kicking it. Out of rehab, staying sober, drinking our Ensure Plus's, thinking rationally. Who the fuck would have ever thought! And the best is you teach me something new everyday. You're my teacher, my angel, my sister, my Doody, my freaking everything. I don't know how God knew how to put us together but damn do I feel blessed. You can read me inside and out on any given day as I can with you. We've learned how to keep the haters out and the positive vibes alive. I cannot even tell you how much you helped me the other day learning about really strong drugs and what they do and how they will try to make others look stupid, people they love, just because they can't face that they are the ones beyond hurt. Everything about M, and just fuck it.......why the fuck do we have to deal with this shit. Why? And I always tell you it's because God knows what he's doing and everything that he puts us through makes us sooooo much stronger than others in the long run. Even if it's not us going through a rough patch there we are helping out others that are and that's half the reason why I love myself and love you so much because we don't give up on people and don't knock em' when they're down. It's a good characteristic to have especially since we don't wanna fall in the same trap as the haters. To all those that "showed me nuthin' but hate, you ran me into the ground/but what comes around goes around, you don't hurt me".....had to throw some No Love in there, but I don't know what I would have done without you at that time. As I can say now that Karma is gonna to really kick there asses very soon, I once couldn't even get up without crying. Both of us though, and you know K told me the other day that we all just get thrown into a circus of dramatic mess because these fuckers don't have anything better to do then bring up those who have gone through shit, well I think both of us are getting stronger everyday about it and one day we are just gonna be able to dust it off our shoulders. Doody even has probs with this you know. But he just fucking goes in his basement theatre and watches Superbad on repeat cause that's what he missed out of when he was high hahahahahahaha!!!!!! "I don't give a damn what you think, I'm doin' this for me" That's what we gotta start doing too. So as I was making this amazing Doody playlist I ran into a BUNCH of live versions of Not Afraid and you're right he is soooo powerful and intense about this song that it actually makes it that much more beautiful to hear and watch him. I wanna have that intensity in me one day. I'm really glad we have him to look up to and be able to listen to his albums and be able to just be retreated to another place. Even on the worst of days. Doody is an angel as well and he has a wonderful angel who saved him now as well. His Doody won't let him fall just like I'll never let you fall and visa versa. No one is going to understand like one word of this letter but that's the beauty of it because it's not meant for others to understand. "Why you think ***** used to call me Doody?

Love,
Doody

And You Can't Break My Stride

My official Birthday song for the year of 2009-2010. I've realized how many people have to tried to drag me down when I don't even know these fuckers anymore....

NO LOVE
performed by Eminem feat. Lil Weezy

The lyrics to this outstanding song with probably some of the best rhythms I've ever heard will pretty much be a letting go of people that have done me wrong and well basically......Bitch, You get No Love

-So you can keep knockin', but won't knock me down/ NO LOVE LOST..NO LOVE FOUND
-Yeah my life a bitch but you know nuthin 'bout her/Been to Hell and back, I can show you vouchers
-That's why my bars are full of broken bottles and my night stands are full of open Bibles
-I'm in bleed mode

It's a little LATE to say you're sorry NOW/You kicked me when I was down/but what you say JUST DON'T HURT ME/and I don't need ya no more, don't wanna see you know more...BITCH YOU GET NO LOVE

-I'm alive again, more alive then I've I have been, In my whole entire life
-I aint' ever giving in again, caution to the wind complete freedom
-You can never break my stride, you never slow the momentum at any moment/I'm bout' to blow, you'll never take my PRIDE

No mercy, mark my words aint' lettin up relentless, I smell blood/I DON'T GIVE A FUCK, keep givin' 'em hell

Where was YOU when I FELL and needed HELP UP????

You Get NO LOVE
You Get NO LOVE
You get NO LOVE

-But what comes around goes around, You don't Hurt ME

Have fun with all the KARMA coming your way. Cause it's a BITCH!!!
Peace&Love,
S

Have a Toast to the Douchbags

2010 MTV VMA's....a review

And if I wanted to I could really just stop the review right there because that's where the show could have come to an end. This performance left everyone in awe and on their feet. The intensity that Em brought to this performance was insane. I couldn't take my eyes off his. Knowing Eminem and his emotions, that he is not ashamed to be very in touch with, I thought he was going to cry from joy at any moment. It seemed like in that performance he let something out from inside of him that was still hurting? Maybe a farewell to one of the last demons that still follows him? Maybe a final hard won acceptance of the great loss of Proof? The realization of how his life, in the past two years, have been the hardest but the most wonderful growing experience he's ever had? I am not here to put a finger on it but in my eyes something in that performance was a freeing of the past. It was beautiful to watch.

Those who also performed were Paramore w/B.O.B., Taylor Swift, some crazy woman in her early 40's it looked like with red hair lying on the stage surrounded by modern dancers, a random, another random, Usher, Kanye(damn Kanye....you know I was going to dedicate a whole blog to you but since I don't even know what the hell was going on in your insane mind that I usually love, I just cannot. What was that and where was your drama and whining? FAIL.), and probably some other artists that I am just not that interested in. So let's talk about my younger crush Justin Bieber. Justin Bieber, who I refer to as J. Biebs, killed it like a little 15 year old should kill it. He rocked the stuff I love most-Fabulous singing/lip syncing and dancing with a large crew of back up dancers. I saw a little bit of a baby Timberlake in there. Timberlake circa 1998 N'Sync years of course. He can dance and boy did he perform! Biebs has no loss for wonderful stage presence. He has the kind of presence that you usually see from a 25 year old, not from a 15 year old. A+ job J. Biebs, A+! Also-If anyone has an eye for talent like I do, you would have spotted a tiny young girl, around 8 I'm guessing, that came on and danced stage left to Bieber while he did his second song. She wore a black leather jacket and completely OWNED the stage. If you go back and watch you will see this little girl. I will tell you right now that she has the "it" factor and I wouldn't be surprised if she got signed this evening.

So basically Kanye sang about douchbags and assholes, and in my eyes Eminem was the only one who brought it, so what do we have left? Ohh yeah the Jersey Shore. I'm not wasting any time on these losers but WHY WERE THEY THERE???? Chelsea's intro with Lohan was epic but I do think Chelsea did drink too much before her opening because I watch her daily and she seemed quite more tipsy than usual. Awesome hosting job though. And since this was an awards show people won awards. My bf won a few to add to his million and so did GaGa. GaGa is the kind of lady that takes Moon Men very seriously. She cries as soon as she sees them. It's cute but also annoying in a way. No, just when she announced her new album title like she was about to announce Best Film at the Oscars. Too dramatic and I could have seen that title coming from 2 million miles away. "Born this way" will reflect on Lady Gaga's, once again, insecurities in being different than others. We get it. No one cares. We like you. Please stop calling yourself a freak because it's beginning to sound like you just really want to be in with the freaks rather than just naturally be a freak. I'm a natural freak so I don't prefer to run around telling people that. Yeah I let out my inner freak everyday for all to see just like a lot of ultra cool people do. Stop saying it and just show us, which you already do so just let it be. BTW if any of you are wondering why Eminem left early.....here's the real truth. I saw this yesterday and knew he wasn't going to put up with this crap and of course I was correct once again. Yes, he did have rehearsal but I'm sure Jigga man woulda let him chill for another hour to accept his awards. *Sorry photo malfunction.....but Eminem was seated next to Lady Gaga and we know he wasn't putting up with that! hahaha.

Fashion Bitch

Best dressed by far.....Katy Perry! You are one hot beautiful gorgeous bitch and I just adore you! The tattoo dress was killer and your hair was......ohh I just can't even talk about how much I LOVED it. I think I'm going to add to my purple and do a couple more colors now like Katy's.

Rhianna.....Loved the get up you wore for 'Love the Way You Lie'. I had just purchased really awesome black combat boots just like yours last night. And anything that looks like a white tutu hot mess channeling madonna, I dig. And we all know I love some HOT HOT FIERY red hair put together with a headband to die for. Good job to your stylist!

Miss GaGa.........LOVEDDDDD the Black dress. The Black Dress with the straight back point headpiece. The dress that took you 5 minutes to be able to stand up and walk to the stage in. Fabulous. But the best part of Lady Gaga's fashion the entire evening(because I did ONLY like the black dress), was her amazing hair! The bluish grey color was unbelievably gorgeous and to die for. The blue bottom looked like cotton candy. Soo fun. If I had the money to professionally get that done then get it put back to something normal in a few weeks, I totally would!

Hope everyone enjoyed the VMA's and had a relaxing Sunday! Let's hope they are back at radio City and have some Britney in them next year.

Peace & VMA's

But since when y'all niggaz know me to fail? Fuck naw!

Most reviewers didn’t like the one-two punch provided by Eminem and Jay-Z’s opening night of a four-date tour Sept. 2, they loved it.
On this past Friday me and my Eminem crazy insane biggest fan, you can call him Stan, were supposed to go to the Eminem and Jay-Z concert in Comica Park Detroit. Words couldn't have showed my true excitement because over the past couple years Em has seriously saved me in a way from him putting out his truth and making it okay to be how I am. Same with "Stan". So we were supper pumped. I had already picked out a hotel with a casino and we just needed to buy our tickets, which we were getting the most expensive elite tickets for our once in a lifetime opportunity, for $250.(I'll get to why I put the price of a VIP ticket to go see two of the most genius iconic rappers in our lifetime.) Something cam in the way and we could go but it was okay and we just sat and talked about how cool it would have been to be there. ........Until I saw this!!!!!

I'm irate! These hip hop moguls always travel in packs and I should have thought of that. Not only did Jay-Z and Eminem tear the house down they also decided to invite a few guests. One of them being my personal favorite rapper of all time Dr. Dre. So let me just name every motherfucker that was there so I can move on with my life.
Headlining
Eminem, aka Marshal Mathers, aka Slim Shady.
Jay-Z
Special Guests Included:
Drake
Jeezy
B.O.B
50 Cent and the G-Unit
D-12
and the main man himself....DR. DRE

“Eminem set out to confront his past demons, put them to rest and claim a victorious and potent present,” Graff continued, “which he largely did during an exhaustive, guest-filled 100-minute performance at Detroit's Comerica Park that spanned his entire recording career with full or partial performances of 33 songs.”
Near the end of his set, an emotional Eminem nearly teared up while introducing ‘Not Afraid,’ Graham continued. “He dedicated the song to fans who stuck with him through years of career turbulence, and dedicated the song to his hometown. He closed the show with "Lose Yourself," toying with his live band during the extended outro before a flurry of fireworks marked the close of the show.

So as you can see here if purchased your tickets through Live Nation your VIP seating for this killer show would have been $250 plus taxes. But for that you saw ICONS, fucking ICONS.

Now I'd like to move onto something one of my girlfriends and I were talking about this evening. Last night Lady Gaga was here and supposedly did an awesome job, I'm sure as hell not saying she didn't cause the girl is entertaining. Gaga has released one and a half albums under her belt and could turn to shit tomorrow. She hasn't been around long enough to charge a substantial amount for her tickets. She's not an icon, and yes she can sing and play the piano and perform her heart out......the truth is that this business will rip you apart and through you down. So until she sustains some staying power(at least 4 albums) she has no business demanding what she did for her VIP seating. She had 3 levels of VIP and they ranged from $410-$200. Humm Lady Gaga or Hip hop legends that have credentials and staying power??? Yeah not a hard decision.

Also I cracked up when I just looked up what a Justin Bieber VIP pass and seating costs, only $349.50! Like seriously I love you my little Biebers and you're prob not going to be around much longer either. But come on. You're fans are little. Cut them a break.

The other thing I love about Eminem is that he actually give free concerts to those in his community. He struggled his whole life and he gives back. Now don't ask me about the ticket prices for when they perform at Yankee Stadium. I highly doubt those will be $250 VIP but hey at least you know you're going to see a high quality show from people that have had over......damn let's just say A WHOLE LOT of staying power years!

I Fake It So Real, I am Beyond Fake

So sorry for the lack of postage but we got a new computer and I've just kind of been staring at it for a couple days. I'm not to much into change, especially computer wise. I barely knew how to work the last one and now this one is HUGE and flat screened, connected to a fax scanner and printer thingy, and well it's just a tad to much. Not a fan! But anyways I have been running around in this horrible weather(can I please get some rain around here!), worked on One for the Money(almost died from heat exhaustion but really fun set and Ms. Heighl is gorgeous), and listening to a ton of awesome music. With that said I tried to make a favorite list of my top ten songs for you guys but it ended up looking like a Nirvana tribute album but with like 50 songs hahahaha. I Apologize Even Though I Know It's Lies

There has been all this talk about this video for the song "Love the Way You Lie". It's glamorizing domestic violence, it's creating controversy, and it's based on Rhianna's and E's past troubled relationships. This song was never one one of my absolute favorites off the album because if you own it there are a lot more amazing tracks but the video really got to me. In the span of 3 days, I watched this video on repeat. Over and over and over. Then I got soo hooked on the video, instead of going through my whole Recovery album while I am driving or chilling listening to music and writing, I had number 15 set on repeat. I thought I did a good analyzation of the album when it came out and understanding all of the metaphors used because a lot of the tracks are tricky and if you miss something you can interpret it as something else. Now I am not one to say I KNOW that this is true but I am, after 2 1'2 months going to give you my true finalization of Love the Way You Lie(LTWYL).

This song nor this video are about domestic violence. The video is a lie in itself. It's outstanding and was perfectly put together with Em on this peaceful green of grass(a safe zone). Rhianna starts the video with her infamous chorus and then the magic really occurs. Stated from the director-"I just told them: This is not like a normal film. We have two days on set, and we have to think of it as an acting workshop, because you're going to have to ramp up into emotions in two seconds, you're not going to know what the story is, and you're going to have to trust one another," he explained. "I'm asking them to go from zero to 100 in two seconds, so they were using all their techniques as actors. Dom would be calling her names, she'd be calling him names ... to see them turn it on like that, it was really a fascinating acting study." And they were incredible in these roles and beyond believable. But here where if you listen, over and over and over, you'll see a whole new side to LTWYL. This is my opinion so I don't like to fight so no hate mail please.

Any addicts out there? Ever been in love with a substance so bad that you would fight for it no matter what even though in the end you know you'll sit there and cry about how fucked up this substance has made you. It's a little bit difficult to understand if you haven't but you just have to try to put yourself in the situation. Doing drugs is your main relationship. Nothing comes before that. I don't know why this happens but if you don't have it you feel mad, violent, and are absolutely not using your rational or wise mind. You need your fix and then you'll be fine. As with the title "love the way you lie" kind of explains it all. Drugs lie to you. They make feel good, damn good. And you love it and there just fucking with your brain making you feel this euphoria, but it's a lie and a trick and when it wears off you back at the beginning again. The drugs are lying to you and you hit repeat and start over.

Instead of going over the entire piece, word by word, I'm just going to try to just some up of the key points he makes through out the song. Let's just get this chorus over with....
'Just gonna stand there and watch me burn but that's alright because I love the way it hurts/Just gonna stand there and watch me cry but that's alright because I love the way you like, I love the way you lie'. (This screams him speaking of his relationship with his addiction and although he was burning with pain he didn't care cause he loved it too much and even though he knew his addiction was killing him he came to terms with it. His addiction was lying to him, life I stated before you get a wonderful fake euphoria but it's all a lie but he loved the lie and he was artificially happy. Which was also a lie. Plain and simple....he's playing with fire.)

Right away he begins to speak of 'Fight or Fight' mode. Whoever has been in a rehabilitation facility, inpatient or outpatient, or even just in you're therapists office, you will hear this enough to make you want to scream. In relation to what Em says about it is basically he's fighting and fighting(in a tremendous level of terror and panic), I know I have felt like this when my past addictions were in full force and I run out I would immediately go into fight or flight mode, 'as long as the wrong feels right I'm in flight'. When in fight or flight with addiction in mind, you more you use the weaker you become 'the more I love her the more I suffer, I suffocate/And right before I'm about to drown she resuscitates me'. You used and you are okay for the time being. May even refer to withdrawal pains and you just can't take it anymore so you use even though you know your in the wrong. After he's resuscitated he's right back into a relapse, 'were running right back here we go again'. Not a good feeling. The part where he is Superman and she is Lois Lane is when his addiction is at it's best. he's receiving the best highs and feels like nothing can stop him. He's cool and very in control. And then things switch and instead of getting high he has to use more and he's so gone he can't stop, 'I feel so ashamed'.

You ever love somebody so much, You can barely breathe when your with them/
You meet and neither one of you, Even know what hit 'em/
Got that warm fuzzy feeling, Yeah them chills, Used to get 'em/(this is when you 1st begin your addiction and everything feels so right. This is your new love)
Now you're getting fucking sick, Of looking at 'em(Key line in my view. You're addicted and you wanna fucking scream that you have to take the drugs just to get through the day. You're over the Honeymoon Phase.)
Throw 'em down, Pin 'em(Trying to say no and putting it all in the toilet then running back to get more.)

So they say it's best, To go your separate ways/
Guess that they don't know ya, Cause today, That was yesterday/
Yesterday is over, It's a different day/
Sound like broken records, Playin' over/
But you promised her, Next time you'll show restraint/(yeah you lost that a long time ago)
You don't get another chance, Life is no Nintendo game(I think this refers to his overdose in '07 and how close he came to dying. Basically saying you can't hit Reset in real life.)

-Continuation tomorrow. Didn't realize how late it got and how much I write! So what do you guys think about this. Eminem doesn't write songs about chicks and when asked why he used Rhianna on this track all he said was "I thought she could pull it off"

All I know is that Eminem is still very early in his recovery stage. 2 years is nothing. And from my own horrible experiences and others, I know that, it sucks, but it's all you wanna talk about. It's like a bad relationship that you just can't get over. And sometimes you go back to that abusive relationship and start all over again.
P&L

CONTINUATION

So were onto the 3rd and final verse. Hope everyone is understanding what I'm getting rather than what is commercially given to you. Either way it's a very passionate extreme song about a love/hate relationship and if you've been there it hits you even harder.

Now I know we said things, did things, that we didn't mean/then we fall back into the same patterns, same routine/(you say you wanna quit, that your done for good, but you just said that to lie to yourself because you go right back to using in your *measured out routine. *Addicts are very obsessive compulsive when it comes to timing and use of your drug. Your days is revolved around this and it comforts you in many ways). But your tempers just as bad as mine is, you're the same as me/When it comes to love your just as blinded, baby please (Drugs are vicious, vicious evil mf's. And they do have tempers of their own and the deeper you become involved the more the two, you and your drug, and connected. So involved you're blinded to what it is doing to your actions and cares.)

Maybe our relationship isn't as crazy as it seems/Maybe that's what happens when a tornado meets a volcano, all I know is I love you too much to walk away now (You lie to yourself into what you are thinking and doing isn't crazy it's just helping you get by and you'll be fine. But when an addict meets and falls in love with a hurricane of a drug, nothing can stop you from loving the drama, excitement, and downfalls. You can't leave now.) Over the next final lines he states twice that he's a liar and that everything he does and says are lies. He's tired of all this drama and the on and off desires he has. He wants to quit but he is caught in his lies, he's tired, and quits. Not just the addiction but his life. "I'm just gonna....."

Thanks everyone who reads this and please always look deeper. Don't ever judge a book by it's cover. There's much more behind where you shall find the truth.

To All the Happy Peaople, With Real Nice Lives

It's almost my favorite time of the year, and no I am absolutely not talking about football season. It's almost time for the VMA's!!! I look forward to the MTV video music awards every year and this year is looking pretty good performance wise. Unfortunately we won't have Britney who always just freaking brings it and fucks everyone else with her non stop dance performances-minus 2007 when she was having a case of the crazies. But minus Brit, I am really hoping to see some kick ass performances.

And I know I will because, as I mentioned last week, Kanye West is back from 'self centered, alcoholic, touch of the insane' center and is bringing it to us in a few weeks! I'm pumped. I thoroughly enjoyed his last 2 albums. BUT.......this is always the best about Kanye's VMA performances. Ever since I can remember he gets this big huge knock 'em down performances put together and something ALWAYS gets fucked up. He complains like theres no tomorrow, swears he will never come back, and go home. Then the next year who do think is in the main line up......Kanye West. And the exact same thing happens again. And well we don't want to talk about what he did last year but hey he wanted Beyonce to win and he voiced it.....to all of the world. Hey, it added some entertainment. Now the year that they held them in Vegas, I do think where they put Kanye was pretty messed up. His performance was him having to walk through a crowded nightclub set and do 'Stronger'. It was a hot mess and that's one of my fav songs ever. But at least Britney took the cake that year with her opening the show and well it was just sad.

I do not listen to Beyonce but I will say she always does an excellent job. I particularly liked the 'Baby Boy' performance from 2003. Jay-Z, well he always kills it. Black Eyed Peas, Green Day, Rhianna(minus her opening in 2008. Disturbia is up there wit my fav pop songs and well she was just really scary in this and it just didn't work.), Pink, AAR, Chris Brown(sorry but he's still the shit in my eyes. He's untouchable when he is on stage.), Pink, Xtina, and so on are a handful of the VMA regulars and successful artists. Don't worry though because I absolutely did not forget about Madonna, Michael, Snoop, Dre, Janet, Mariah, U2, and other legendary artists. Speaking of legendary artist........did I tell you yet that Britney Spears is the best VMA performer of all time? Ohh ok just thought I'd bring it up again. Another person who just beats everyone else in this game is Justin Timberlake. He's a regular and always seems to be featured on someones track. His 2006 performance with Timbaland I watched on repeat for a good 3 months.

Onto this year. So we have Kanye. And heres to the girl with the most nominations-Lady Gaga. Extremely talented and gifted for sure, but sometimes too insane.....yes! Last year I loved her performance!!! Paparazzi on the piano then she hung herself with a nuse that was magically hanging there and blood started flying out of her eyeballs. I loved it. I love any play, musical, perform ace, ballet, etc where people are hung or wristes are slashes. It's dramatic and extremely artistic. Thumbs up my dear but what will you do this year??? And it better not be with any reference to the Alejandro video. Or Telephone. Everyone was poisoned in that video. I think you should just stear clear and do the into with Alejandro and go straight into a huge performance of Bad Romance. Fingers crossed. I think we have the little baby singing! Justin Beiber! He'll do awesome. Drake. And the ohh so gifted Kesha(cough cough).

But here is where it is really at. It's all about Eminem. He's like Britney in a way, when either of them get on stage it's instant 'awe'. You can't take your eyes off them. They control it and own it. Of course I am thrilled about Eminem, and don't get me wrong, he did very well last year but that wasn't him yet. This is him. He's on top of his shit and really I could not pick one song that he shouldn't sing off his new album Recovery. There is not one even near poorly written or produced track on that album.

Don't fret we'll be talking about this a few more times then it's countdown with my all time favorite performances!

Say You, Say Me....Say it together, Naturaly

I think you can probably get from my blogs is that I am very unorganized(not in a bad way but you'll see when I start), have obsessions like literally obsessions where I HAVE to have something (this ranges from a high end cardigan, all the way to bf's) and then I'll usually be done with it or them but some obsessions stick around(enter Britney Spears), and my addictive personality doesn't always come in pill form but rather in something innocent.....like music. A great way of displaying these obsessions and addictions is to show you just what I found cleaning my car tonight. But you also can probably see that I love ALL music and find the beauty in all of it through my lovely CD Car Collection. One of the biggest hot messes you'll ever see.

Now when you think of my car collection what do you exactly think of? Well you thought right, it is Brintey Spears. Now when you see a mixed CD with no clues of what might be on it, what do you think? Britney yes, Eminem yes, Kanye yes, Kurt yes, Radiohead sure.......but we are missing one major obsessive compulsive quality to these mysterious blank CD's. They only play one song, on repeat, for about 6-7 times. And that's it. I have a girlfriend who thinks this is absolutely ridiculous but hilarious at the same time. But if you think about it, everyone has those days where you just wanna listen to one particular song and why have to hit repeat all the time ya know!

Alright so what did we find so far:
Britney Spears-4 cd's minus the Britney and In the Zone albums adding a road trip Brit mix which is to die for. And I would like to know who in the hell stole my In the Zone album???? It is the ONLY CD besides my Kanye that is missing. That's just wrong!
Relapse by Eminem-I love this CD with all my heart and soul. It usually comes in with me at night so I can keep a watch on that!
Michael Jackson Number #1's-RIP the King of Pop
Nirvana-We got Bleach all the way down to the Nirvana Master Mix that I, of course, mastered myself. It's phenomenal. For a rainy day though I like to pop in MTV UNPLUGGED and listen to "Something in the Way" on repeat.
Snoop and Dr. Dre The Cronic 2001-No explanation needed. Prob in my top 5 albums for sure.
Rise Aagainst-You prob don't know this band but they kick ass and I haven't heard any of their new stuff but I still jam to my old stuff.
Taylor Swift-I had a MAJOR obsession with Fearless. I ran that shit out until my cd player just wouldn't play it anymore. But don't worry I had backups. At least like 6 of them. I'm making a new one though because I think they are damaged from overuse. When I say I ran it into the grounds I mean literally listened to nothing else but Fearless for a good like 5 months.

This is about to get really really uncool of me. So if you don't wanna think I'm not cool then don't read the following. I warned you!
Jessica Simpson
Kelly Clarkson
Mandy Moore
Xtina Aguilera
American Idol Season 2 (I wore the hell out of this in Summer '03 and I also made all my dancers dance to it. Ohh man)
Hillary Duff
Justin Timerlake-4 mixes but no real CD's. Something crazy must have went down because we know I love my future sex/love sounds.
Nick Lachey What's left of Me-Did I seriously buy this!

There are a lot of unknown CD's and the first two I popped in I was laughing too hard to even attempt to see what was on the others.
CD 1-Alanis Morrisete "You Outta Know" 6 times in a row. As crazy as it sounds I know exactly why I needed this in the car that day and the following days. During the Circus Tour, Britney would do random things, and this was a cool one that she pulled off well. She covered "You Outta Know" and as soon as I found out I just had to make a CD with that song on it on repeat. It made me happy.
CD 2-TRACK LIST(this is great! and I can tell it's my getting ready to go out and party mix '07)
1. Britney-Gimme More
2. JT-SexyBack
3. JT-My love
4. Britney-Gimme More
5. Britney-I'm a Slave 4 U
6. Kanye-Stronger
7. Britney-Gimme More
8. 50ct-Who the hell knows
9. JT-Love Stones
10. Britney-Gimme More
That is one sick track list!! As you see I had to get Britney in there a lot. Obviously this is before Blackout was released(Best Album EVER) because it only showcases Gimme More. And it shows how awful this CD is. I like how Kanye and 50 are just thrown on.

And continuing....Random Mix Aug '09. What do you think random mix '09 means???
Well yeah you're wrong. It's definitely not a CD with songs on it that actually came out in Aug. '09. It more or likely a mix that I made of my favorite artists and has nothing to do with the year of 2009. I like to make mixes for my friend Bekah so we can listen to my stuff when were in the car in Charlotte. (Ohh let's listen to that CD I made you. You're going to love it Bek). And it will be dated and signed by yours truly with the same songs I put on the mix I mad her 2 months ago. It's pretty bad that I'll mark it 2010 and it will be from like circa 1991 Nevermind era. hahaha!

I'm really good at making "Love Mixes". My best friend and I started this business in 2001 and I keep it going till today. The purpose of the mix never changes. It's basically a cry and dub in his name kinda thing. It's really mature. Always starts off with Aalyia's One in a Million followed by some David Gray, Brian McKnight(Anytime. Best depressing love song out there!), Gavin Degraw(Ohh do I despise who I would sing this about! What a waste of 8 months!), Coldplay-Colorblind(which may be the saddest song on earth, 2 very specific songs from Love and Basketball, Janet Jackson, Jeff Buckley, Ryan Adams.....etc.
WHOA flashbacks and not pleasant ones. I mean it's no wonder why we were always crying, these songs actually make you cry. On cue practically.
Ohh the love sweat and tears I wasted on....well I can't call them idiots, besides a few, and I can't call it wasted either. Every relationship that you go through makes a huge difference in your life and whether it turn out good or bad, you learn. And also look back on the goodtimes and how happy you once were. There're a mid point between love and hate and you can get stuck there but if you really want something you have to just go for it. And the hatred for this person is just spilling out because deep down you know your life would have never been the same without them. Just tell them. What the hell do you have to lose. Absurdly nothing and whoever out age is afraid of rejection you just really need to work on your self confidence. 1 life and it's really short.

I'm going to try to cheer up now after that mess. Secret Albums I sweat:
The 5th Dimension-Greatest Hits on Earth
RENT-I have 1 and a half copies of this in my car just in case I would be missing Act I or II. This music changed my life and led me down the wonderful road of Musical Theatre and I'll even "Bible" this that it is play VERY frequently.
Luther Vandross-Greatest Hits. Superstar is just beyond greatness.
Lionel Richie-The Definitive Collection. Can't get much better than that.

We're going to skip forward to 2 very obsessive and addictive behaviors just with these precious little examples. Enter Eminem and Glee.
Glee-I have about 5-6-7-8 mix CD's that I made on my own. "Defying Gravity" is ALWAYS on every mix 3 times exactly(I love that song), I bought my 1st Glee CD in May-Glee Season 3: The Showstoppers. Beyond fantastic. I think I'm just a really old soul cause Glee covers some of the best timeless musical pieces ever made and I get into it and then I'm looking at the lyrics memorizing and then I'm just gone. It's definitely therapy for me.
Now onto my boy toy Eminem. I promise I won't go into this like I usually do but yeah the kid is basically my life right now and if that's what is helping me get through each day then let me be. Hate all you want but I know I'm not the only one who's being helped by his words and daily struggles, and how hard this all is. He stepped forward right when....I heard "Beatiful" last summer:
'I'm just so fucking depressed
I just can't seem to get out this slump
If I could just get over this hump
But I need something to pull me out this dump'

Then came Recovery, which is like a miracle. Maybe not to all of you but I bet a lot of you. You may have not even hit your low yet so here's a good preview.
Going Though Changes:
'I feel like I'm losing control of myself, I sincerely,
I apologize if all that I sound like, is I'm complaining,
But life keeps on complicating, an' I'm debating,
On leaving this world, this evening, even my girls,
Can see I'm grievin', I try and hide it,
But I can't, why do I act like I'm all high and mighty,
When inside, I'm dying, I am finally realizing I need help.
I can't do it by myself, too weak, 2 weeks I've been having ups and downs,
Going through peaks and valleys, dilly dallying,
Around with the idea, of ending the shit right here.'

Point here is that Relapse has been played in the car, on the ipod, blasting in my room, and it just basically hasn't left my side since it's release. I'm in love with it and I think it's a good obsession. I'm learning and relating as I deal. You just deal.

This though is a classic Em peice and is not to be reckon with.

Peace & Love,
S
