The Bass is Feelin' Nice

MAY MUST HAVES!

10. Britney Tickets-Hello this is obviously going to be the hottest thing going this summer. Brit's album is so fierce that I just know she is going to bring it! I don't know a soul who isn't going, but hurry because Britney selected very few cities this year and tickets will be going fast. She's even only doing one show at the Staples Center!

9. Lace Shorts-GORGEOUS! Black, beige, and even white lace shorts can dress up a casual tee look in a micro second. Or pair it with a boyfriend blazer and a sky high nude stiletto for a night out look.

8. Spring-Spring into it! Get those winter clothes and blues put away and let the past be the past. Even though it still be a little chilly where you are, go out and try on sundresses to get you looking forward to the sun and lemonade.

7. Pastel Polish-This is cute and all but I highly doubt I will follow this trend. My heart is still with the blacks, navys, greens, and deep purples.....BUT I do have a couple wonderful colors that I discovered shopping today that would fit the bill just fine. Butter London Polish in *Cheeky Chomps or *Yummy Mummy.

6. Being healthy in Mind and Spirit-You only live once so make every effort you can to make sure you are pleased in all aspects of your life. If one if out of place it can begin a domino effect leaving you lost and wondering. Just relax and enjoy life because you never know when it may be your last.

5. White iPhone4-Wow finally. It took about 8 months for Apple to finally release this one. I am very upset because I did put away the cash to get the iPhone in white and now is not a great time monetary wise. Damn you Apple! I still think the white is going to be great for the iPhone 4th generation and quite chic.

4. Audrina(from The Hills)-hahahaha sooo just kidding. So this girl and her family has a reality show. I made it through 2 minutes. I had no idea where Audrina was looking, I couldn't stand watching her shoot bikini pics after I saw what she eats(nothing!), there is really no dialogue because Audrina is very quite and boring so nothing fun was coming out of her mouth, and her mom is right up there with Dina Lohan. Please take it off the air immediately. Thank you.

3. Deleting Your Facebook Account-I swear I hear the word "facebook" or "well I wrote it on your wall" or looking at where people have "checked in" to. I don't even know what the last one means. Why the hell would you want people to know where your at? Weird. It's time to put a serious end to this trend.

2. Orange Lips-My favorite thing about the spring. I LOVE a bring lipstick and I LOVE a great fabulous orange. I tried and have the Make Up Forever lipstick in Satin Bright Orange(40) with a top coat of gloss in Make Up Forever's Diamond Collection shade(D20). Go to your local Sephora to have a specialist pick out a few shades that will match your skin tone. Everyone can wear it!

1. Best Friends!

Got Your Hand With That Designer Love

I have always been a huge fan of the fashion house known as Azzedine Alaia, who became famous with his work in the 1980's. While on Melrose on day I stopped into a tiny boutique called Resurrection. The amazing vintage store holds the things you can only dream of. A huge Chanel charm bracelet, a teeny chiffon gown with butterfly sleeves by Halston, a backless Valentino gown, and Balenciaga sunglasses from the 1980's. Resurrection has two locations, one in NYC and one here in Los Angeles. I was soo intrigued by the boutique I just had to ask the stylist about some of the uses and places these vintage pieces were used. The boutique is a personal stylist heaven for red carpet events and editorials. So a lot of those to die for red carpet vintage pieces we see all the lovely actresses wearing most likely were pulled from this establishment. They recently used pieces from Resurrection for a layout in in Glamor with a very famous singer and who else was she wearing but Azzedine Alaia! Ohh and don't forget but in case you forgot we were all introduced to Alaia from the classic movie Clueless! When Cher is robbed in the Vally she is forced to get on the ground and screams "But this is an Alaia!!!"

Below are some of my favorite pieces. Hope you enjoy!

And I Hope the Sun Shines

I'm in a deep infatuation. Not with one of the usually assholes I date but rather on the new somewhere I reside; California. I haven't pinpointed what it is that makes me smile all day or why, for me, the grass is greener on the West Coast but something about it just has me on a wonderful natural high. It could be my friends that I have here and the fabulous other souls I meet throughout the city. It could be the constant forecast of 75 degrees and Sunny. It could be that I still don't believe I'm living where anything I could want is at my fingertips?

About every other corner has fruit stands with the most delicious fruit you will ever eat, along with, the European bakeries, the extremely fresh seafood, the taco stands along with delicious Mexican made churros. And also let's not forget but LA has some of the best cuisine you can find. That could all have a say.

Or is it the shopping? Melrose anyone? With stores surrounding you like Barney's, Fred Segal, Neimaen's, Kitson, La Perla, Dolce & Gabbana, Balenciaga, Fendi, Prada, Bloomies, and many many more boutiques that a woman would die to be able to shop at. Being the fashion guru I am, it;s pretty much heaven. I die.

But what really did it is what I love about Los Angeles the most, the beaches. The pacific ocean is so different. The color is a deeper blue, and the waves don't mess around. On the weekends we usually go hang out in Venice Beach. There we have a whole bike lane from Santa Monica down to Venice, right alongside the beach, lots of walking along the ocean and getting sand all over out feet, can't believing it's only February. Or it could be the way I sit on the sand and watch the sun go down and watch the Santa Monica Pier put on their light show with the Farris Wheel and Roller Coaster. Photoed above is the 3rd Street Promenade, where shoppers go to heaven WHILE overlooking the ocean. Very charming.

But truthfully I don't think it's any of those that made me love this city this much, I think it was just luck that I found my way here and I knew when I got off the plane there was going to be no looking back. California has changed me a lot already. You can be yourself here and carry no secrets. And the best part about it is I kissed all my anxiety away (besides you K). I just want to say that if you ever have the opportunity to leave where you are from I strongly advise it. Even for a year. I feel beyond free and it's the best feeling ever.

Cold as Fire-Hot as Ice

If you have ever read any of my other Red Carpet events, I bet you all know what I favored. There is one surprise in there but other than that just think of my ultimate dream dress.....Lea Micheles Navy Ruffled Silk Organza Tulle dress from this years Emmy's. Just to die!

Which brings me to my overall Favorite dress at the Globes.....

Piper Perabo in a Black Silk Faille Oscar de la Renta
Gown. As you can see this dress has all my qualifications....well let's just say as soon as I saw that gorgeous bow on her shoulder I was suckered in. I love this dress because of the beautiful detail but it is perfectly simple. Perfection!

And 2nd runner up was a dead given as well. In a bubble gum Pink Taffeta Oscar de la Renta, Miss Lea Michele. I love love love this one shoulder number. This year I was all about Oscar. The best is that I despise the color pink. You will not find one pink item in my closet but this Dress I would wear in a second. I wouldn't change a thing about it!

This one is not my typical dress for red carpet but it is a dress I would love to wear. I believe it's absolutely stunning and although I don't really care for the actress wearing it, I completely put that aside. Sandra Bullock in Jenny Packham. I love bohemian style romantic dresses. This one is priceless and I love Jenny Packham. Great Job!

I no longer do Worst Dressed because I believe everyone in their own way looked beautiful and now that I think of it, it's really just plain mean to do that! I hope all the attendees had a wonderful time in their beautiful black tie attire and I want to give a shout to Chris Colfer. Yes!!!! As for the men it's a dead given. Johnny Depp you are soo ridiculously gorgeous I can't even handle it sometime. You look like a dirty musician bad boy and I love it!

Can You Help Me Occupy My Brain? Ohh Yeah!

The other day I woke up and decided to start being a human being again. I had breakfast lunch and dinner, answered mostly all of my calls(if you called me this week and I didn't get back to there is a huge explanation), tissue papered most cloths and and I even took a shower(looking at my hair alone you could tell I was on a bad run!) Sorry about leaving for a while but as i stated before I do run into seasonal depression and well Pittsburgh has not been over around 25 degrees for weeks. Actually on the news tonight, the weather man actually said it was going to warm up for the football game. All the way to 16 degrees!!! Anyways I'm out in a little so I'm feeling better about everything.

Tonight the Steelers(my hometown team) won the championship title and are gong to the Superbowl.........again. I'm happy though cause I know Doody's real pumped and since she didn't have a voice tonight due to the flu, I dedicated myself to the game and screamed for her. It was kind of fun! This is my only problem with the Steelers going to the Superbowl this year. Any other year I think it's awesome but our QB did some terrible things and for some reason, in Gods plans, is having him go to his 3rd Superbowl. If it were me, I believe Ben should have been fired. I've seen him a few times at clubs and his actions were gross and rude. That's not something I'm pondering on though because if you get really drunk everyone actions get wild. But as I write this 2 of my loved ones are wishing for hope, freedom, and be able to fight their disease. These 2 people are REALLY amazing beautiful souls and everything seems to happen to them. So what I am trying ask is-Why do all the bad things happen to good people and the bad people are breezing through life?

Wow I'm truly sorry. Fuck i didn't even do my Golden Globe dresses yes or say how delish Johnny looked! Black Swan.....I never did my piece on Black Swan! (I hope you all have seen it by now but if not don't read that blog). Or gosh just anything! I'm moving this week so writing will be a good distraction from packing. Hope you all are well!!!

I'll leave you know with photos of my STUNNING Armani Underwear Ads Rafael Nadel is doing!!!! Also don't for get abut the Australian open this week.....Vamos Rafa

Must Haves-Women's Puma Edition

As well as Puma's men's collection, which we studied yesterday, they also have a unbelievable women's collection as well. I happen to love shopping at Puma. One of my favorite stores hands down. They always have the sweetest gear from clothing, shoes, hats, to accessories! And I happen to notice that I actually get more attention from men when I am geared up in my Puma and rocking a real chill look. Last year on vaca I had worn my my favorite asymmetrical zipper black/grey Puma fleece lined jacket out to the bar and the getting hit on got soo bad that I had to put my cubic zirconia Tacori over to the left ring finger. True story. It wasn't me either that they wanted they just liked my style and considered me a pretty cool chick. Alright so moving on, and I hope you caught yesterdays edition of the Men's Must Haves, today I picked out seven exceptional online pieces I love. Here we go!

Rudolf Dassler for PUMA Uberschuh $225 (Umm shut up right now these are soo fabulous. Put these on and you are automatically a kick ass bitch!)

PUMA Long Zip Through Sweater $65 This also comes is a gorgeous deep purple but all I wear is black right now so I chose to show it in black. Who doesn't need this?
PUMA Imani Mesh Sneakers $75 I bought these in early September in a really awesome shade of green with the ribbons in white. I can't tell you how many times I get stopped and asked where I got them. They are slip on, and they are hot, hot, hot! MUST HAVE!

PUMA Cropped Jacket $80 Amazing piece.
PUMA Clairmont Military Cap $22 I have this exact hat in black and green. I wear all my Puma hats all the time. Always a great purchase!

Rudolf Dassler for PUMA Batwing Fleece Sweater Jacket $120 I think this freaking awesome short sleeved jacket can speak on it's own. I might have to get this REAL soon!

PUMA Flex II Boots $90 I fell in love with these yesterday. They also come in brown and black. A perfect fall/winter/early spring ankle boot.

As you can tell I am very passionate about the "House of Puma" and I suggest it to everyone and anyone. They have AMAZING sales and really the retail price points of their line is actually quite affordable. Make sure to sign up to get emails at . You will receive coupon and sale alerts and believe me you want to get an invite to the Friends & Family event they have twice a year. 40% off of everything in the store. It's my favorite F&F sale along with Juicy Coutures wich is 30% off everything. I prefer to go to Puma store to shop because they do have a fun little different selection but if you do not have a Puma near you, Puma's online site offers almost everything. Have fun with it!

Must Haves-Men's Puma Edition

I really enjoy the House of Puma....hahahaha okay I guess it's not a fashion house my any means so let's just say I really enjoy Puma. They have some of the most exceptional-runaround, running errands, chilling, throw on-clothes, accessories, and of course, sneakers! I mean, HELLO, Puma's past guest designer was Alexander McQueen RIP babe. I LOVE stylish men but you know those are really rare to find. In my perfect world all men would dress like Kurt Hummel(Chris Colfer) from Glee. He is always, no matter what, dressed head to toe in Tom Ford, Burberry Prorsum, Vince, Marc Jacobs, and etc. But another thing with that....he's gay and gay men are stinking FABULOUS when it comes to dressing themselves. So straight guys really can compete. Other than the A-list designer attire, I truly love my man in tee's, jeans, sneaks, baseball caps, and hoodies. I love a boy who knows what they are doing with their rugged clothes. You can also get all of these purchases at Bloomies and just be a really well expensively dressed bummed out grungy man, but until we are at that level, Puma is the PERFECT place to begin.

PUMA Sherpa Hooded Jacket $120

PUMA Cat Remix Shoes $90

PUMA Archive Outdoor Hat $20 (I recently bought almost this exact hat for my friend and he LOVES it and looks adorable. Great choice!)

PUMA Hermit Multicolored Gloves $12

PUMA Shift Cardigan Sweater $90

Rudolf Dassler for PUMA Bertour Shoes $120

PUMA Inshore Sailing Jacket $210

On top of these great picks that will turn on any girl......they are also quite affordable! $12 for thick fingerless warm gloves????? That's practically just giving them away. My favorite piece out of these favorites is the Sherpa Hooded Jacket. Not only is it hot, hot, hot but it is also something you will use year after year. Guys go try this look out and ladies go shop for the men in your life!

Peace&PUMA
