On this past Friday me and my Eminem crazy insane biggest fan, you can call him Stan, were supposed to go to the Eminem and Jay-Z concert in Comica Park Detroit. Words couldn't have showed my true excitement because over the past couple years Em has seriously saved me in a way from him putting out his truth and making it okay to be how I am. Same with "Stan". So we were supper pumped. I had already picked out a hotel with a casino and we just needed to buy our tickets, which we were getting the most expensive elite tickets for our once in a lifetime opportunity, for $250.(I'll get to why I put the price of a VIP ticket to go see two of the most genius iconic rappers in our lifetime.) Something cam in the way and we could go but it was okay and we just sat and talked about how cool it would have been to be there. ........Until I saw this!!!!!
I'm irate! These hip hop moguls always travel in packs and I should have thought of that. Not only did Jay-Z and Eminem tear the house down they also decided to invite a few guests. One of them being my personal favorite rapper of all time Dr. Dre. So let me just name every motherfucker that was there so I can move on with my life.

“Eminem set out to confront his past demons, put them to rest and claim a victorious and potent present,” Graff continued, “which he largely did during an exhaustive, guest-filled 100-minute performance at Detroit's Comerica Park that spanned his entire recording career with full or partial performances of 33 songs.”
Near the end of his set, an emotional Eminem nearly teared up while introducing ‘Not Afraid,’ Graham continued. “He dedicated the song to fans who stuck with him through years of career turbulence, and dedicated the song to his hometown. He closed the show with "Lose Yourself," toying with his live band during the extended outro before a flurry of fireworks marked the close of the show.
So as you can see here if purchased your tickets through Live Nation your VIP seating for this killer show would have been $250 plus taxes. But for that you saw ICONS, fucking ICONS.

Now I'd like to move onto something one of my girlfriends and I were talking about this evening. Last night Lady Gaga was here and supposedly did an awesome job, I'm sure as hell not saying she didn't cause the girl is entertaining. Gaga has released one and a half albums under her belt and could turn to shit tomorrow. She hasn't been around long enough to charge a substantial amount for her tickets. She's not an icon, and yes she can sing and play the piano and perform her heart out......the truth is that this business will rip you apart and through you down. So until she sustains some staying power(at least 4 albums) she has no business demanding what she did for her VIP seating. She had 3 levels of VIP and they ranged from $410-$200. Humm Lady Gaga or Hip hop legends that have credentials and staying power??? Yeah not a hard decision.
Also I cracked up when I just looked up what a Justin Bieber VIP pass and seating costs, only $349.50! Like seriously I love you my little Biebers and you're prob not going to be around much longer either. But come on. You're fans are little. Cut them a break.
The other thing I love about Eminem is that he actually give free concerts to those in his community. He struggled his whole life and he gives back. Now don't ask me about the ticket prices for when they perform at Yankee Stadium. I highly doubt those will be $250 VIP but hey at least you know you're going to see a high quality show from people that have had over......damn let's just say A WHOLE LOT of staying power years!
