HOLD IT AGAINST ME, 1ST SINGLE OF BRITNEY´S 7TH STUDIO ALBUM

Tuesday, January 11 at 6pm (US) the Facebook message is going to start! Get ready!!

Official email from Jive Records:
We are about to launch the new Britney Spears single!! We are customizing a web widget for radio stations to “unlock” her single when 2 million fans share to their Facebook pages starting Tuesday, January 11th. Below is a description of how it will work. The station widget will be made custom for each station with their logo, tag, etc. and when fans/listeners share on their Facebook page it will say “STATION and I are helping Britney Spears …” which will also include a link back to your station site.

Here’s the flow of how it’ll work:
* The station will place the widget we send them on their homepage (in the event the widget isn’t compatible with the partner site, we will provide a hosted landing page branded with the station’s logo and a link back to their site that where the widget can live)
* The widget will use single artwork only and have the following copy, the Buy Link can go to any retailer:
Britney Spears Fans In Command (use single art logo/fonts)
Once Britney fans share this message 2 million times on Facebook she will release her new song
Share (button)
Can’t wait?
Pre-order now!
* The station drives fans to the widget to share the message into Facebook, for example:
Radio drive from on air
Sites create banners, send emails, social network posts, etc
* Once user hits Share button on widget, the usual Facebook pop-up/allow screen with the Share message will appear. The Share message that will appear in the user’s Facebook Newsfeed is (example)
“Z100 and I are helping Britney Spears share this message 2 million times to get her new song released early! Click now to help!” ::shortened URL:: (linking back to radio website where widget lives)
* The widget will display how many shares there have been til we hit 2 million
What does this all mean? In a nutshell, the premiere date of the single will be completely determined by the fans and when they reach 2 million! That’s the official release date!

Britney, who sported a green turtleneck, stuck to juice and hung out poolside, occasionally approaching the deejay booth to check out the action as DJ
Lindsay Luv spun.

Check out the message DJ Lindsay Luv posted on her Facebook :

Britney Spears was at my Mondrian Skybar Thursdays listening to me spin while a bunch of drunk girls jumped in the pool. Where were you!!?! ;0)

With Pictures of Me and a List of my Friends

Facebook.....what have you done to the world?!?! As I was almost at 1000 friends earlier this spring/summer, I noticed that something was wrong. Do I know ALL these people(well actually yes to a point of if "knowing" is passing them at a bar or having 1 mutual friend whom you haven't spoken to in years.) Then there was the whole Farmville incident. I had a huge problem with this whatever it was so I started deleting people who played that game or collected sheep or whatever you do on there. Then I noticed the massive amounts of fake people who would request my "friendship". And BTW, once again I will announce, my life is far less exciting then some of those make it out to be so you're definitely not going to find any crazy secrets or facts that aren't already apparent. I started deleting most info from my profile and cleaned out a lot of my friends list(which I am still doing). Even though having 666 friends for a while was super cool. I barely post photos anymore and I'm considering just taking the whole thing down. FB, you and I had a good almost 6 year run. I think it may be time to break up.

But......what was life like pre facebook? I don't even think I can recall! I got it my final year of college and I've watched it evolve into this devious, social stalking scene! It used to be so pure and innocent. No news feed, no kids that didn't have a valid college email. Now we have 8 year olds running around and gosh only knows what the teenagers of the world are doing on here. Eck! Imagine being in HS and having this? I already felt awkward enough!!! I bet kids that are "going out" breakup via FB Wall. Ohh the horror! I recently had a friend of mine that deleted her profile due to getting into 'fb zone out' periods that would last up to 4-6 hours. You know like when you sign on and 5 hours later you have no idea who's profile you're even looking at and why! It happens to the best of us. I truly can say I don't use FB too often anymore but that is because I have another online addiction called shopping, right now. I don't know which is worse. Whatever.

The worst is when you are obnoxiously asked out or talking to someone at a party and instead of getting asked for your phone number or asking for theirs, you find yourself giving out your full name or visa versa so you can find each other on facebook. It's sooo classy. Totally turns me on to go home that evening and look this new hot boy up to find pics of him blacked out with his buddies. HOT! And I can't say much about mine either. I may not drink now but ohh did I used to. Definitely not the cute way either, more like the alcoholic way. Another obnoxious thing is the guys actually may be worse stalkers than the girls! I once was on a 1st date and even though this kid and I continued to date for a while, it was initially quite weird. I believe he took a god 3-5 hours memorizing everything about me from my facebook profile then proceeded to get drunk and would accidentally slip facts about me out. Ohh see like that is the perfect example of why social networking should sometimes be forbidden. Anyways I'm over it. I've been over it but the only thing is that I've made the best online buddies from random pages that I wrote on or shit. People that I have met through interests. Such as having the same favorite band to having the same favorite tennis player(what up to my Nadal peeps!)

So what do you think? Time to retire? Or just let the stupid thing sit there and use the messaging system? I would, of course, have to keep "And Who Are You Again?" up until I figure out how to follow and get followers through Blogger. I have an email address that I love to use and a telephone number too. And I am pretty close to using those as my only communication. Does everyone feel like I do? I know i quit myspace way before everyone else but that thing was just on a whole other stalking level and contained real stalkers. (I loved that you got a profile song though and I think that's one reason why I kept it for the time I did. Ohh and my AWESOME Britney Spears background and Brit themed profile. Love her! People might have mistaken it for a Britney fan site. Very possible hahaha.) I hope you all consider this as well. Facebook Free! yah!

Peace & Love

Hot Like Mexico, Rejoice

*to those who are lucky enough to have never fallen into the facebook black hole and do not have a facebook account, this blog can be skipped over by you. For you are the lucky ones that don't have to look at half assed crap that they create and change to put in our faces everyday on facebook. Thank you.

Dear FB,

We've been friends since 2004 so when I said to my best friend today that I was really about to delete my account, she said "whoa whoa whoa, let's not get crazy here. you can't delete your facebook!" With that said, no I really feel like I do have a super strong connection to you that could not be fulfilled by any other mega queer social networking site, but if you keep pulling these crappy changes on me I just might have to(don't worry guys....I'd keep the fan page up for AWAYA of course.)

Now in 2004 facebook was so simple and delightful. You signed on to your page and you could only join groups that were from your university and to sign up you had to go through your college email to do so. It was very safe and cool. You know no randoms were going to get to you. As we moved forward facebook progressed but still went to your page when you signed on and now you could add friends from different schools and you could be in groups from all over the world. But slowly facebook went downhill. 1st bad move on their part......they invited high school kids to be able to join. Very stupid. And they developed a horrible opening page which they called the "News Feed." Basically what this so called news feed was was basically a stalkers paradise. All your crushes, bf, and ex bf's status's on one page. Totally not cool. This is when people started to fall into the "fb black hole". With all this news feed info bouncing around in your brain you found it completely necessary to click on everyones page and look at wall posts, groups, and photos until you could see straight anymore. When you called your friends they were obviously on facebook. If they weren't on facebook they were obviously talking about gossip that they saw on the news feed. Or, the worst of worst, they were crying because there crush had just changed his status to "In A Relationship". Yes these are all true stories and I KNOW you all know what I am talking about!
My other HUGEEEEE issue is the facebook suggesting friends and pages to you. That was bad but I took it. Now it suggests that you look at your friends old photo albums! Like why in the hell would I was to look at a random friends album from 3 years ago!!!!! I don't think so. Or the best is is that FB tries to make you write messages or write on the walls of the friends that you barely speak to. They like to call it "reconnecting", I like to call it garbage. The whole system going on over on the top right side on the home page is garbage! I don't care is I have 58 friends in common with a person. I still prob don't know them. I went to a school with 26,000 other kids! Moving on.

Now, like last week I think, they thought it would be cool to just make us "Like"(btw WTF is "like" all about" everything and anything we had written in our profile. Now that was just NOT COOL fb, NOT COOL. Then I don't know where in the hell the cool groups I used to belong to went. Ohh wait I found them. They are on my homepage, not even in my profile anymore for anyone to see. Then to make everything even worse is a total F'd up move they did a few months ago. Now we can't even use the privacy to say what we want going up on our wall or not. So everytime you "add a friend", "comment on a photo", "write on someones wall", or breath!!!!! it is recorded to your wall.

I think it's time this all stops. There are NO age limits, No college email limits, and the worst is that even Parents are now talking about and joining Facebook. Just not cool, not cool at all. Everyone should just do Twitter. I actually prefer it. You tweet quotes to yourself or write FML 20 times a day, tweet to celebs, and Post pictures of car doors or whatever. And NO ONE EVER BOTHERS YOU!!!! Because they can't because no one can write on your page! It's amazing. follow my sweet ass @sarahhollock and you'll see how joyous this is. If anyone reads this that is a part of the FB team I just want to let you know that you have created a MONSTER. Thanks!

When You See My Face Hope It Gives You Hell

I'm taking a small break here from my very busy day of singing. After a while I just get frustrated and before I know it I'm lip-syncing and dancing like a porn star to Britney. It just happens. So as that stared to occur I decided I should do something constructive like update my iTunes. So while that does it's thing I thought we should probably discuss an issue I have with facebook.

Do you happen to have a lot of friends? Have you not talked to some of them in quite a while? When is the right time to delete people from your past without being rude. I had a horrible case of the insomnia's last night which left me up till 5am. After wanted to pull my hair out because I have this stupid AA voucher towards my next flight but the flights that I need seem to be a fortume on American right now. Now they do have this "lowest price guarentee" thing but to do it your flight that you find MUCH cheaper on airtran or jetblue has to be basically the SAME EXACT time and transfers that AA would offer. Then on top of it you pay AA all this money and you have to take photographs of the site and screen from the site that offers it lower before you can get your refund. Thing sounds like a pain in my ass to me. I wish I could sell this $200 voucher but it doesn't transfer. Okay now what was I talking about???

Ohh yes......the FB Friends Spring cleaning. Okay so I deleted about 15 people. I was actually trying to go for more like 200 but I feel sooooo bad doing it that I know I'll never get that far. I think all I got rid of were pittsburgh bar scene peeps and promoters. I don't do Pgh nightlife anymore so I have no need for that nonsense and especially all the messages about what's going down this weekend. Then I'll go to delete someone that I didn't even think I knew just to find I have like 134 friends in common. Can't delete them then man! But aside from that there is one great thing about facebook. I have all these AWESOME fans from all around the world!!! And tennis freaks like myself that adore Rafael Nadal to talk to(even though my spanish isn't to great, and my awesome friend Elaine from London who we met over a huge Courtney Love drama and we would both write her. BTW if you've never messaged Courtney on Twitter or Facebook and you are a FAN, please do. She is so sweet and cool. She's very misread. And, I hate to say it, but it is a great way to stay in touch. I'm going to give it another go with the cleaning out this weekend. Maybe even do a little updating......I have been in the Brown Eyed Bombshell group for WVU girls since 2004. I clean out my closet about every 2 months(which is a GREAT other blog I'll write up later) but for some reason I can't let go from my old school style facebook. Do any of you all do regular deletions?

Have a wonderful and beautiful weekend. God Bless!

Peace & Love
