Dr. Luke : feeling the pressure of new Britney Spears album
Producer Dr. Luke – who worked with megastars like Katy Perry, Ke$ha and Avril Lavigne – is the co-executive producer on Britney’s forthcoming seventh studio album. Luke’s partner? Swedish hitmaker Max Martin, who’s been both a mentor and collaborator and has worked with Spears on and off since her 1999 Jive Records debut, …Baby One More Time. Dr. Luke contributed several tracks to 2008′s Circus.
A dream team, no doubt, but with Sony Music seeing a 10 percent drop in sales last quarter, and that’s including Usher’s platinum-plus Raymond v. Raymond under the LaFace banner, the pressure is most certainly on. “She’s such an icon, I don’t want to let anyone down,” Dr. Luke told THR. “But most importantly, I want to make good music.” The LA-based Luke, who’s just coming off a repackage of Ke$ha’s Animal, says he’s just starting to wrap his head around the Britney album now. He anticipates it will be out in early 2011, while an insider tells THR, it will definitely hit stores before March 31, the end of Sony’s fiscal year. A Jive Records rep would not comment on a release date or confirm a timeline. Other producer-songwriters said to be working on it include Darkchild and, according to Luke, Montreal newcomer Billboard (listen to a remix Billboard did of Britney’s 2009 track “3″ at his Myspace page).
When asked if he could tell us a little more about the Britney record he said :
“Just that I’m excited to be co-executive producing with Max Martin, the person who kind of invented Britney, and to make good music. And she’s such an amazing vehicle to getting that music out to a lot of people in every country.”

Meet Me in the Pouring Rain
So now that we have 1,000+ fans(ahhh thank you thank you thank you!!!), I think it's important that you know a bit about me and where I am coming from to get the full effect of "And Who Are You Again?" You know for those important questions you may have lingering in the back of your head like "Why the hell is this page called, And Who Are You Again?" Well it's titled that because when I was naming the blog it was the 1st thing that came to mind when I think about people. I cannot remember for the life of me peoples names or faces!!! It's a horrible trait and I wish I could change it but I've always been this way. I am working on it and especially with you wonderful fans that write me. I do always remember your names <3.
I'm a plain and simple girl who has always had enormous dreams and hope in life. I figure if you do not have dreams that life would just be soo boring. Even if your dream is to just be happy and have a family one day.........then I admire you very much so. I wish that mine could be that simple but I've always had huge crazy ambitious ones, but if you work hard enough ANYTHING can happen! Always keep your dreams alive! It's key. I'm a hopeless romantic. I am in love with love. I do believe in soulmates and finding that one that you literally cannot live without. I often catch myself daydreaming about fairytales, prince charmings, and those wonderful butterflies you have when you are in love. Love is CRAZY, just absolutely nuts! Why do you think they call is "falling in love"? I live for this(and my dreams). I've had to realize not all people are good people. This is something that I never wanted to see in anyone but this year I've learned that you cannot trust and love everyone, no matter how much you want to. Some people are just out there to pull you down and it's very unfortunate. You have to be strong and always remember that if someone is speaking poorly upon you, makes up rumors, or is just plain mean that it all just stems from jealousy and envy. If you've ever noticed.......no one speaks about someone else unless they have low self esteem or you have something they want. Don't ever lower yourself to talk about your haters. Keep your head up and never come down from the level you've worked so hard to be on. I sound like Rev. Run haha. He does always have the best hater tweets.
I have some very serious disorders that I am very open about talking about them to help other people and to just sometimes vent. Eminem does this best, but I try. You'll often see posts about depression, anxiety/panic, and addiction. I am obviously NOT shy about this and pride on being so open because I really like to help people that are suffering in silence to always message me and/or go seek help. Asking for help is the furthest thing from weakness. Asking for help means you have taken the steps in wanted to get better. It takes a very STRONG person to do this.
Music plays a HUGE part in my everyday life. It's one of the other things I live for. Music can change your moods, make you believe in something you thought you never would, see the many different moods and colors of life, and take you out of reality and into a world of make believe just when you need to escape. I love it all. I find every single artist fascinating with all these beautiful stories to tell. I also write a lot and would love to one day work as a songwriter. I think it's soo freeing to be able to get everything you want to say out on an album. Rock, Pop, Hip Hop, Country, all of it I believe is amazing. Some of my favorite artists include: radiohead, nirvana, eminem, britney spears, kanye west, the doors, courtney love, joseph arther, dre and snoop, just to name a very very small few. I love love love Taylor Swifts songwriting very much as well. She has this great thing about her that just really, and I know this sounds crazy, but makes you want to be a better person and always respect and love yourself more than you already do.
I give 100% at all times to all of my friends and family for they are the loves of my life. I think it feels so much better to give then to receive. There's just this little magic that you feel after you have donated, volunteered, or just simply make someone smile. You will often see me always buying small gifts for others if I see something I know they would love. I adore fashion and what fashion can do to you. Like often said, "What you wear and how you present yourself is often a silent way to express what you represent." It's a great way express your mood, personality, culture, and well just yourself. This is why I love fashion. I change expressions like everyday!!! hahaha. Organza Tulle is my favorite fabric......along with chiffon, lace, and silk. Ohh and ruffles......I can just wear ruffles for days. Gorgeous!
Performing and Visual Arts are life. Just take a look around you. I will never be a 9-5er but have so much respect for those that can be. Life would be just that much cooler if it were a musical. I mean come on......singing and bursting out into dance sequences can add sooo much beauty to the soul. I often almost and do wreck because I really get into my singing when driving. True story! Obviously you can tell this is what I was raised and trained in. I am madly in love with the arts. Rent is still and might always just be my favorite musical. My favorite song is Nirvana's "Dumb". I know ALL Britney Spears choreography. I'm moving to L.A. in January(I was supposed to leave today(the 28th) actually but of course things never work out on time damnit!) And I think that's it for today. Hope you enjoy my loves!
Peace & Love
S
*Please also note.....I have a huge problem with remembering to proof read. Literally my thoughts come and go so fast that I just write write and write so half my writings are disastorous but you can most of the time decipher it. Spell check??? I try.

Yeah, I Always Find Somethin' Wrong
......and So did I Kanye, so did I. So finally we get to talk about what Kanye likes to call his debut as a "Movie Director" ehh em. I once had soo much to say on this short film but now I cannot fathom wasting my breathe on someone who doesn't appreciate others as much as he appreciates and is in love with himself. Don't get me wrong at all, I do think a lot of Kanye's work is absolute genius. Especially this track "Runaway". But when you can't say anything good about others because you are too worried about you always being on top, is something that I can not put up with. So here it is........I watched the whole hour long "Movie" and 45 minutes worth of the interview afterwards. In the beginning of the interview i was actually starting to believe that maybe his time off did him some good and his "I am God" level had calmed down but at one point he said a few things that turned it all back around and there he was, this insecure man with very low self esteem. When asked who he thought was at a very high point in their hip hop career and was growing as an artist, he did not point anyone out but himself. "No one can touch me. I'm making movies now." And that's when I got off the live viewing on MTV.com.
As for the small film in which he said and compared it to "some Michael Jackson shit"......well it was far from and please not to all artists: MJ was a legend, the King of Pop, the main reason why Music Videos are what they are today(Thriller anyone?). No one can touch him and do not compare yourself to him because you will come off as looking foolish. The short film, which I believe ran 35 minutes, I did not find impressive, creatively extensive, or well cast. This is the only clip where I do believe he speaks truth in what he says in the last minute. I have really begun to feel this way as well and what he says about "selling himself to the devil" and what it means to him. It's something that i will always refer to now because I love the way he developed this saying into something so meaningful to yourself and your dreams. Watch.
Speaking of the Phoenix character, Kanye decided to cast the exquisitely beautiful Selita Ebanks. In the beginning when she is found on the road I believe she was perfectly cast. Very tall, very thin, and lanky.....just like a bird. Until hahahaha omgosh I die when I see her stand up because she's soo gorgeous and she has the HUGE fake breasts which look ridiculous on her teeny tiny figure. I just did some research and she is the 1st Victoria's Secret model to ever be hired by them with fake breasts. That disappointed me to read that because I always like to think all those VS girls are all from Brazil and are just that fabulous. Well they all are but now there is a fake in there and I just don't think that should be allowed. According to every article I have found of her and read she originally had A cups which I am sure looked way more better on that skinny body. So that's one of the parts I think was miscasted. But I'm not going to focus on this character who's acting at the end with Kanye in a conversation about turning to stone and Kanye begs her to stay and they kiss and then the film gets dark but you see them having sex. That bugged me too. Kanye why are you having sex with a Phoenix? She probably scratched the hell out of you! haha. Moving on to what really mattered in this "movie"......The 10 minute long version of the track "Runaway".
This was absolutely gorgeous and filmed in Prague in this huge warehouse it looks like with the spectacular green wall you keep seeing in promo photos. The piece lasted from 13:50 until 23:08. I am a huge fan of the song and what it says and of course being a former ballerina didn't hurt either when I 1st saw it in performance. The casting of the ballerinas was horrific. Three en point and the rest on flat. Not attractive. If you've ever been a ballet dancer or studied the art you know that you DO NOT perform on flat past the age of pretty much 12. Watch the Corps de Ballet only, when you watch it through maybe on your 2nd or 3rd time through. They do not fit in the piece. There are 3 soloists, and I hate to say this, but even they are not perfectly cast either. Half of the Corps was dancing contemp ballet while the rest was purely classical. The had a sequence where they posed on the beats of the chorus of "Runaway" and half would be turned in, feet not pointed, bent knees; it was just not good to watch. The choreography was very basic. Positions and movements you learn in the very beginning stages of study. If I saw one more girl do another releve devlope I was going to die, but that's ALL the girls did. Horrendous! Just horrendous! Kanye, I know you wanted this to be perfect and if you have such a "strong passion for classical dance" then you should have cast the girls better. Period. I was expecting girls from SAB or NYCB.(even though I know sab and nycb contracts do not allow apperiences in music videos.) But no. And although I was upset with the dancing, there are the two beautiful touching moments. When the girls run on stage and when the girls run off. Very Swan Lake. And of course I had a predilection for the straight out classic Tutu's the ballerina's adorned.
Now I've written to much on the subject and person I said I wasn't going to take to much time on because he already feels he is a deity. Now I will end by saying Congrats on getting Phillip Lim to do your costume design. Hire a lead that if she is going to be naked for 35 minutes that her breasts move like normal birds/humans do. Take an acting class. And just come down a little from the high high cloud you are sitting on because you could fall through one day and find yourself sitting on the level ground with the rest of us. Humility Kanye, is key.
P.S. If you didn't know this I would just like to share it with you very fast. 2 of Kanyes great musical influences are Radiohead and NIN. I think Trent Reznor would kick your ass for even saying that.
Thoughts on the film? Feel free to speak your peace.

Breaking News: RadarOnline have heard Britney’s New Song “Pleasure You”
A new track from Britney Spears upcoming album has been leaked months before its planned release, RadarOnline.com is reporting.
The pop sensation plans to release Pleasure You – a three minute tune in which Spears stays true to form and sings about being submissive, a servant and doing whatever it takes to please her man.
The track was played to RadarOnline.com by a source connected to the singer.
The leak has infuriated record bosses at Spears’ label JIVE, who were stunned when informed of the unauthorized release by RadarOnline.com.
“We are totally unaware of the song being leaked,” a JIVE rep told RadarOnline.com.
“We don’t know how her song or any other artists song could have been released. We’re looking into the issue.”
One verse of the track is particularly colorful where the pop star sings :
“If you want to get rough in that lay on your back, I got the max suddenly I’ll pull you through whatever just to pleasure you.”
The song beat is soft and slow, curiously, like that of an R&B song — a monumental shift for the pop starlet.
“We can’t discuss details as to if she’s working on a new album,” the rep told RadarOnline.com.

Going Through Peaks and Valleys, Dilly Dallying
I'm sorry but what I had planned for tonight I cannot finish due to me just having a plan out bad day. We all get them but mine are just a little more complicated as most of you know by now. But I do not want anyone's pity but would like to get some understanding so once again I'll please ask you to, if you haven't already, learn about something this week that you don't know about or feel as though you do but you really don't. Discrimination, Gay Rights, Panic Disorder, Addiction, Hate Crimes. And as always, please remember that "And Who Are You Again?" is a judge free place to come and read away and ask questions about whatever you'd like to me. I have, over the past 1 1/2, dedicated myself to always trying to help at least one other person with whatever kind of demon they are battling, each and everyday. Love you all. It's for all of us when we are having our "Britney" moments!
So I had a really shitty day. I woke up at 7am drenched in sweat with a nasty panic attack. It was one of the worst ones that I have had in quite sometime. I have no idea why or what made it come about but it's just another disorder I've been battling since I was 21. I've accepted it as a part of my daily life and take the steps and measures to keep them on the low and stable. But until this evening this fucking panic attack wasn't coming to an end. Although I am still shaky and feel numbness in my back, I am beginning to feel better and with these few steps I'll teach you how to deal with anxiety or full blown panic attacks for you to have a better understanding and to get through them.
Rule #1 You're Not Going To Die (it's the automatic common response since your body goes directly into fight or flight mode)
Rule#2 Breathe as deep and as much as you can. Try to close your eyes and realize what is happening is something that you've dealt with hundreds of times before. You can get through this.
Rule#3 Don't start popping the Klonopin/Valium immediately. Use your exercises you were taught through your psychiatrist, therapist, theories your fellow friends that suffer as well believe to work, and just keep breathing. The only one that works for me is the breathing one and sometimes that doesn't even work so I just have to get through the day minute by minute, hour by hour. It's my life. I'm used to it.
Rule#4 Do not sit and stare at a wall all day thinking about it. You will not improve by any means. Let out a good cry(they are very scary), call your best friend/boyfriend/girlfriend, and try to eat something even though you feel like you are going to throw up.
Rule#5 Help someone else is is a little worse off then you today. It will give you something to focus on and helping out another friend in need that is going through something as well, always feels rewarding and comforting. (this is when I slightly started to feel better today)
Rule#6 If you've been to Rehab or Outpatient or maybe you know someone who knows exactly how you feel because they've been there. Get it out and talk. I have 2 very important people in my life, one who I met in rehab, and another that has been a good friend of mine for years and has been in rehab and through all of this as well. Call one and get it all out. As much as we LOVEEEE our BFF's and as much as they try to understand, sometimes it will rather harm us then help us to put everything on them when they are not fully educated, even though I know they try their hardest.
Rule#7 Go through all the shit that NO ONE gets, what your feeling, why can't you pinpoint why you are feeling this way, laugh about old terror stories of past, get it out how much you would like for someone to really just live in your life for 24 hours, just for that one day, one how much they could learn about you and how getting through the day is a process, not a simple task. I did this in a 3 hour convo with my closest friend from rehab. We both felt unbelievably better after this!
Rule#8 Feel blessed and thankful for what you have been given. God only gives us as much as we can handle and builds us strength. In the long run, everyone suffers from something, whether they let it be known or not. Stay strong. Be a role model. I would never be who I am today without everything I've been though. I see people and life in a whole different spectrum and accept everyone as who they are. Never judge.
Rule#9 Through drugs and alcohol may seem like the best instant treatment, it's not in the long run. Try as hard as you can to stay away from popping those extra pills or drinks you may have used to use to get by. I am currently sober and have been for the better part of the last 10 months. It's been the best thing I have ever done. Ever. But yes at this time you can take your Klonopin/Valium/Xanax....whatever your are prescribed from your doctor for your disorder. Keep it at your regular dose. If you truly need the medicine, tripling your dosage isn't going to do a thing because you actually need it. You will not get a high.
Rule#10 Pop in the Album that comforts you most in this situation. Tonight, da da dada.......it's Eminem!!!! HUGE surprise I know but my Doody comforts me more than anyone in these times. His albums speak to me in large volumes and no one can replace him in my eyes for being my role model through the addictions, depression, the anxiety, and well you just gotta listen to him. I also though consider myself a huge role model to myself. I've been doing pretty fucking good. Mishaps happen. It's life.
Always believe and have hope. You can get through this. Sometimes there are long detours and sometimes you can find instant relief. Just find whats best for you. I've been dealing with all this since I was 16 and still have no permanent solutions to any of it. I wish I did. Keep the faith <3
